Is this to be the new standard on which we can comment about the game? I've noticed the "you haven't played the game so you cant comment" criteria being lobbed about quite often lately. Is this also to apply to the myriad of hockey writers who haven't played the game?

I get it, the trolling is somewhat "extra" these last few days in all directions.

But are you saying since I haven't played or coached the game (except at a pickup level) that I am unqualified to make comments? Because if it applies to one person shouldn't it apply to everyone?

I think we all need to grow up and dial it back a bit. I just want to talk about hockey. The Richard swinging is getting out of control. And it's not just one person.

I don't think that's it, they always seemed to have a pp specialist on D who couldn't play defense in there own zone. Once those guys left or got traded then provorov was crying about pp time too, so they gave him a chance. I don't believe Sanheim is a PP1 type of guy also, but he was better equipped to do the job then anyone we had last year. Torts is Torts so he probably will never get a chance.

God I remember selling those things in my card shop.

I like the idea of a trade with the Flames, straight up Hanifin for Sanheim then we flip Hanifin for picks and prospects at or before the TDL.
