It's more than that. They have to take on bigger roles most likely. They might be asked to play up in the lineup and placed in roles that they're not capable of excelling in. I don't see any young puck mover coming into the lineup and boosting the Flyers transition game.

I think you're being overly optimistic. I doubt Attard or Andrae are going to make the team. The Flyers PP is going to be pretty awful and neither of those two players are going to be able to fix it.

That being said they would be able to improve it, that is what you want to see especially from 2 of the younger guys I would think. The flyers D as is from a PP perspective is brutal.

Also mind boggling they didn't address that at all with a coaching addition. Though that would be Torts admitting a mistake.

I think I would rather have Andrae playing 20 minutes a night in Lehigh over playing 8-10 a night on the 3rd pair with a crap partner.

I like allison, but it is like he plays in a beer league and is the guy who can't control himself. Hits everything plus the boards. I hope he learns to play under control.

Allison seems like another somewhat overhyped flyers prospect. Injuries have played a part no doubt. I dont see it working out for him on the Flyers.

Attard is 24 going to be 25. How much longer are they going to wait? A truly rebuilding team would provide an opportunity.

I’m hoping both those guys come in this year and make an impact or at least get the opportunity this year. I’d also throw in Zamula. With Attard, he’s not that young anymore. It’s time for him to step up. We’ve seen flashes, now it’s time to stick.

He may very well not be. Just would like to find out is all.

If they played to his strengths he can be NHL 3rd pair dman who helps on the offensive end.

The premise of the conversation, which you probably didn't see, was whether adding players in part like Andrae would result in the Flyers improve their goal scoring by 30 goals and an improved PP. Not whether they would make any improvement at all.

Last time I saw Attard in a big enough sample, he clearly showed he had the puck skills to play in the NHL but his defense and off the puck play was pretty poor.

When was the last time you saw him play? Was it his short sample with the flyers at the end of the 2022 season? Did you catch any phantoms games?

In that sample he started off as poor as one can start. By the end he was a much better player. Not even close to how he looked when he started.
