You’re gonna accuse me of coming to MJL’s rescue here but are you trying to play the Batman of this site and come to this entire board’s rescue? Like I said earlier, it seems to me jd250 and MJL seem to enjoy fighting each other. It’s like a strange mutual bond.

And that will be if Sanheim doesn’t rebound, York doesn’t progress or if they make the mistake of not developing another young puck mover to round it out. We’ll see.

It's more than that. They have to take on bigger roles most likely. They might be asked to play up in the lineup and placed in roles that they're not capable of excelling in. I don't see any young puck mover coming into the lineup and boosting the Flyers transition game.

I just have a strong feeling that Foerster is going to be in the mix, probably at the expense of "always hurt" Allison.

I like allison, but it is like he plays in a beer league and is the guy who can't control himself. Hits everything plus the boards. I hope he learns to play under control.

Now you have expectations that one of these rookies could boost the PP? Couturier is a strong 5 on 5 player when healthy but he has never been a strong PP player. Atkinson is well past his prime as a goal scorer. If those guys take up ice time, that means someone will get less. That will have a cascade effect on the lineup. Expect more in the same range in terms of goal scoring and PP production of last season.

Expectations are personal but Seeler was a strong value last year for the Flyers. Relative to cap hit, Seeler was a better value than Ristolainen last year. Hathaway is a strong 4th line forward whom the coach is undoubtedly going to take a fancy to and most likely overplay.
