so does that mean you're going to follow your own advice and not harass jd250 every time he posts? or do the rules not apply to you?
every single time he posts you peak your head out and troll him. why can't we give you the same treatment? Why not ignore him? - black_francis
You’re gonna accuse me of coming to MJL’s rescue here but are you trying to play the Batman of this site and come to this entire board’s rescue? Like I said earlier, it seems to me jd250 and MJL seem to enjoy fighting each other. It’s like a strange mutual bond. |

And that will be if Sanheim doesn’t rebound, York doesn’t progress or if they make the mistake of not developing another young puck mover to round it out. We’ll see. - NC Flyers Fan
It's more than that. They have to take on bigger roles most likely. They might be asked to play up in the lineup and placed in roles that they're not capable of excelling in. I don't see any young puck mover coming into the lineup and boosting the Flyers transition game. |

I just have a strong feeling that Foerster is going to be in the mix, probably at the expense of "always hurt" Allison. - MBFlyerfan
That would be a good thing |

Well no telling if they can make the team, but either Andrae or Attard would be helpful to transition.
I’ve liked Zamula’s passing vision, but no telling how he is doing post-injury. Grans should be interesting also.

I don't see any of those 3 being able to make a significant difference. Especially with the way the Flyers play under Tortorella. |

The third pair could receive more than average minutes. The two A’s but especially Andrae could provide a nice boost to the PP. Attard’s got a booming shot and can carry the puck if needed, with better center support, it could work.
It would be nice to see some actual games soon, any which way it goes.

I think you're being overly optimistic. I doubt Attard or Andrae are going to make the team. The Flyers PP is going to be pretty awful and neither of those two players are going to be able to fix it. |

I like allison, but it is like he plays in a beer league and is the guy who can't control himself. Hits everything plus the boards. I hope he learns to play under control.

Well good. Like I said earlier, I am looking for tangible improvements from the offense. Only I don’t expect that to result in any rank or standings difference. So technically, yes, we will be pretty awful, just not as awful as the past season.

The Flyers acquired Angelo, an experienced and proven PP defenseman. Did he improve the PP? It finished last in the league. No where to go but up. Now you have expectations that one of these rookies could boost the PP? Couturier is a strong 5 on 5 player when healthy but he has never been a strong PP player. Atkinson is well past his prime as a goal scorer. If those guys take up ice time, that means someone will get less. That will have a cascade effect on the lineup. Expect more in the same range in terms of goal scoring and PP production of last season. |

That is a valid opinion. I’m still going to expect what I said. We will have to see about usage, but I personally see Atkinson, if healthy, on the third line and PK at this stage. Couturier’s boost level remains to be seen. I’m looking for a big year out of younger guys like Farabee, Tippett, Cates, Frost, and Foerster if he makes the team, and a repeat from TK. I really think they get ample opportunities. The increase is mostly fueled by them.

Prepare to be disappointed but I hope you're correct.

I don’t like “disappointment” so I will answer the spirit of it in this way. I think the team needs everyone and some roles just have less expectation. Truthfully, some won’t meet expectations, but I don’t want to choose those.
The top five skaters I expect to be huge for the team:
TK
Coots
Tippett
Sanheim
York
The five skaters I have the least expectation on their performance:
Laczynski
Deslauriers
Walker
Seeler
Hathaway |

I expect big seasons from the following.
Farabee
Frost
York
Errson
Tippett
I believe the following will disappoint.
Sanheim
Konency
Atkinson
Walker
Laczynski
I think Sanheim being the guy might be too much. I think because we should have traded Konency this summer and his play will show us why. |

Expectations are personal but Seeler was a strong value last year for the Flyers. Relative to cap hit, Seeler was a better value than Ristolainen last year. Hathaway is a strong 4th line forward whom the coach is undoubtedly going to take a fancy to and most likely overplay. |
