What we don't talk about enough on here is how predictable Rierden's power play is and how that stupid ass drop pass in the neutral zone has killed our ability to enter the zone with control. |

Really? I reviewed his draft record and wasn't impressed at all. - sufi-judge
Really?
2003: Sharks draft Milan Michalek, Joe Pavelski
2004: Sharks draft Thomas Greiss, Torrey Mitchell
2005: Sharks draft Devin Setoguchi, Marc-Edouard Vlasic
2006: Sharks draft Jamie McGInn
2007: Sharks draft Logan Couture, Justin Braun
2008: Sharks draft Tommy Wingels, Jason Demers
Some solid NHL players in that group. Pretty sure he drafted Timo Mier too. |

I liked his sharks teams. They never got over the hump unfortunately but I don’t mind him at all if he’s the “hockey guy” voice in that front office. Could do waaaayyyy worse |

Yeah that’s usually the best place to draft NHLers. |

I think Pavelski, Demers, BRaun were all 7th rounders and Pickle was 2nd. |

Had some big trades too. Thornton, Boyle, Burns among them. Somehow got a first for Goodrow lol. He was a darn good GM. |

Yea and we missed on a good bit on our first rounders. I'd say he did damn good. |

I figured as much. Wasn’t a criticism. Look at Pouliot. Just curious if everything was a first or if he had any hits in later rounds. |

Zone entry is the least of the PP problems. The everyone float up high and cycle the puck around the outside is what kills them. Malkin needs to stay out at his one timer, Carter has to stand tall infront, Sid and Karlson do their thing. |

I can’t wait to see Karlsons reaction after his 3rd time being targeted and when he realizes there’s zero help on this team. |

I'm a bit excited to see how it all looks, for sure. More excited for opening night than I have been a few seasons. I am cautiously optimistic it will be a good product on the ice. However, as Ive already stated, I believe that 9 brand new players is a lot of turnover and a lot to get acclimated. Also, things like Tanger and EK sharing big minutes will be an adjustment for both. |

Well..last night I was asked to play in the Tier 1 Division Men's ball hockey league here for the upcoming season...official Ball Hockey Canada league...all stats tracked...by the team that won the Tier 2 championship last season and are now moved up to Tier 1, all of the other players are 5 to 10 years younger than me. These guys play in the Nationals too. I think I'm going to book a professional massage every week now. This sh!t is tough on the bod. |
