Grachev definitely, he was a prospect I raved about - jimbro83
Oh man, Grachev I honestly thought was gonna be the next big thing for us. I thought the fix was in on him and there was some conspiracy against letting him play.

Cherepanov was the one I wanted to see. Huge tragedy. |

Yeah, I was high on Zherdev too when we acquired him. He was so lazy.
This is fun. Let's do the prospects that could have been:
I'll start with Ethan Werek, Evgeny Grachev, and Sean Day. I thought all of these guys were going to have a place on the NYR roster at some point. - NYR11
Thought for sure he was going to turn into an elite NHL power forward. |

1 pick before Claude Giroux. Love looking at that. |

Always go with four forwards on the PP until the nearing the end of the two minutes. If you have a faceoff with 20 seconds or less, then put two D-men out there to finish the PP. |

Pavel Brendl was supposed to be a stud. Him and Grachev were supposed to lead NYR to bigger pastures. Both ate too much pizza and washed it all down with draft beers. |

Rangers also had a kid in the late 90's or so...Stefan Chernesky. Kid was super skilled and extremely fast. Too bad he was like that kid in the Mighty ducks movies that could skate but not stop. He crushed his knee into the boards one year in the AHL (I think) and it ended his career. |

And the pick that ended up being Spezza was part of the Chara/Yashin trade too |

Although, in fairness to Milbury, Milstein/Gluckstern just wanted to get Palffy's contract off the books. Some of that buffoonery came straight from ownership. But still, (frank) Milbury |

Could have had prime Spezza and Olli Jokinen as 1-2 punch. Mike Milbury should be sent right to the Hauge. |
