Those are good times, but he's not terribly wrong. Doesn't seem that long ago I was in your shoes. Now, I'm on my way to watch mine umpire the younger softball divisions. - Tonybere

If Rangers decided on a priority to keep Tarasenko, who are the players that would need to go in order for it to happen?
Would Lafreniere and Goodrow be the two leading candidates to be moved?
Would the offer a 1st round pick be enough for the Rangers to package both Lafreniere and Goodrow?

They aren’t trading Lafreniere, Drury made it abundantly clear.
What Tarasenko should do, if he really wants to remain a Ranger, is take a one year 800k deal with the promise of signing a long term deal in January

Would you trade Brady Tkachuk for a first round pick? |

I am afraid you would need to look on the New Jersey roster to find someone the Sens would trade even up for Brady Tkachuck. Only Stutzle has more value to them.

I like Lafreniere a lot. I think he will be an NHL star in the near future. He needs 1st unit power play time. He can be a gifted goal scorer.
But, Friedman and a few others are reporting that despite what the Rangers are saying publicly, they have been quietly shopping Lafreniere.
Would we see a significant fan backlash if Drury moved him?

there wouldn't be a huge backlash if they got young cost controlled assets in return |

yeah but its a little misleading when a bunch of these guys are on 1 year 800k deals that could easily lose a spot to one of the kids like Cuylle or Othmann, and then they'll have Berard and Sykora knocking on the door to take bottom 6 spots before you know it

It could be fine if enough of the prospects pan out. Or it’ll be a nightmare if they don’t |

I just think it’s very exaggerated to say the Rangers are suddenly old because of these barrage of 1 year stop gap deals.
It’s not like they traded any of their youth for some 31 year old. They still have all the kids |

Well you are the one who said the entire group of forwards there are only 3 under 30. Im just pointing out that that could easily change. |

3 of our projected 12 forwards for this upcoming season are under 28. Not much in the way of youth next season. Defense is better but its too lopsided. |
