Exactly.
It does seem like Goodrow will be here and they could take a wait n see approach with guys like Cuylle, or even Othmann, and if they can graduate to the NHL. That would help obviously. But as of right now I’m not sure we can beat the devils yet, and I’m less confident we can beat the canes. I guess they could wait til the TDL like they’ve been doing too, I’m just impatient like the rest of us - Slimtj100
TJ, it has to be this way. We have rushed way too many prospects way too often over way too many years. Some can play right away, some can't. Those kids has a great camp last year, right? So, let's see what they've become now and off we go. I'd bet these sub-seven figure guys are insurance for the kids not being ready more than dominoes toward a big deal. Excited to be wrong, though!! |

Thing is too, we really need to win the division this year. To only have to play one of those teams in the playoffs would be huge (Car /NJ). So to wait for any addition could back fire also. They can’t start off like last year, the Trouba meltdown happen well into November if I recall. Up til that point it wasn’t good
I’m usually indifferent about regular season results until they truly matter, but next season I’m Tom from opening night I think my optimism is waning 😔 |

I think the team is better off using the $3.6m on other assets over goodrow. I also do not think he is bad. Multiple things can be true. He’s just paid too much - picklerick
Ok, like who? Tarasenko? I think that ship has sailed but I was a fan of his while he was here. Not sure who else is out there in a bottom 6 role that’s better. |

Rangers need either K’Andre or Lafreniere to file for arbitration so they get 2nd buyout window |

Maybe they go the Mayfield route and give him 7-8 years for 5 million with Miller. I think I read that’s what he’s seeking, 5 mill range. That could work to the Rangers benefit doing that. He may be a 7 million dollar guy soon |

Im just pointing out that fact, I don't have any idea what they will do
but they have like 7 million in space currently, and that seems awfully tight to get both Laf and K'Andre done |

I'd be very cool with that, I like K'Andre more than most

I like him a lot also, but he needs to add some nasty to his game. He’s the softest 6’5 guy in the league |

He started off nasty and has devolved into spitting. Needs more snarl. |
