Accurate to an extent. But I will argue that Hill also made the D look good and was a massive reason why they win. Plus his performance earned him the two year extension he received - airjan23
I think ultimately the point is you want strong taller mobile defenseman with a long reach, not smaller guys who get pushed around easily on a forecheck. Jones is just not big enough, end of story. He may be skilled and all but we have Fox and Miller to bring that. Schneider too. This is why they traded Nils too, Jones is a lesser version of Nils. And he can’t even crack the lineup where he went
Chara was one of the more dorky looking guys we’ve ever seen, but man he could stop a play in its tracks pretty much on every shift. Reach man, reach. This is why Miller can’t be traded imo. He’s a mammoth of a man back there, Trouba too. |

Oh I lose WAY more often than most. So I'm no different than most on the internet. Again, for 800k, they were limited who they could get. But again, the goal should be to avoid players who are currently bad. - tomburton99
Pouliet was coming off a frw bad seasons, and came to NYR and crushed it. How many of the guys that NYR bought out came back the next year on another team and crushed it..if only just to get one more big contract ? Same goes for majority of players bought out by ither teams. They have pride...and they will leave every last ounce on that ice to prove they are still good players.. |

Oooh here’s one:
Dallas
Nils Lundkvist (5’11 175lbs) can’t beat out Janni Hakanpaa (6’6 230lbs), who probably skates like John Scott did, for regular playing time when they’re both RHD. How bout that one Einstein? - Slimtj100
I kept saying over and over we needed to trade Nils while the iron was hot. Im still surprised we managed to recoup a 1st for him given the situation. |

Tom thinks there are like 50 guys readily available who are “good”, on his charts, that you can find for 800k who at the same time fill the exact need the NYR have. He couldnt even come up with 1 guy instead of Wheeler
Why anyone even converses with this schmuck is beyond me. While he purposely derails the blog and probably jerks off to it |

Prob not 800k lol I thought he was coming back, oh well. I still wouldn’t put a goodrow trade to bed yet tho, or even a buyout. If they qualify someone doesn’t that allow them that option again?Just feel like they’re one RW short still of really being good, or winger. Where Laf moves to the right. Ideally fourth line has Vesey on it, and right now I think he’s in the top 9. Could be something where they wait til the deadline tho, like they’ve done last two years |

Yeah it just stings so much more when a player you like or want to resign goes to a rival or a team who know you're gonna face in playoffs was hoping he'd be back. |

Bummer. I really don't want the Canes to get better.
Injuries killed their chance this year. |

I would take a shot at Zadina. Anyone else? Maybe the pandemic really messed with his career and just needs a fresh start somewhere else.
Maybe we can get some reprieve with him kind of replacing Kravtsov. That’s ultimately where our team had a setback. That pick really killed a year or two for us. They list Zadina as a RW at NHL.COM, and hockey db |

The division is important this year, have the other two face each other rd 1. The top 3 fully healthy are bar none the Devils, Canes and Rangers in the metro. No one is even close anymore, imo. Problem is we may be the 3rd best team, and neeeed the home ice next year |
