i only ever had beatles compilations and CDs ripped specifically for me. once i got into them i needed more than what was on the records. they have so much music, so many songs, you know?

i guess most covers aren't as good as the original, now that i think about it.

well to be fair, covering a band like Pink Floyd is already a monumental task in itself, and it's the kind of thing where you could never top the original song imho.

I know there are songs though that I've preferred the cover over the original, but none of them really come to mind lol. I guess American Woman would be a good example, I agree.

yeah, I wasn't there to witness it obviously but I know that during those times we were light years away of what is allowed today in society and in the media in terms of promiscuity... heck you could even argue we may have went too far in the opposite direction lol.
