I think you have this all backwards. LIV (pif) has way more money than the pga. Hence the merger. LIV (pif) will now run golf for the foreseeable future. The pga caved here, not LIV (pif)
Edit: pif had a major stake in the pga tour before they pulled out and created LIV. People need to get off their "high and mighty moral" China always, Saudi never, hill and see the forest through the trees here. |
