Is a 4 year $6M per contract bad for Bertuzzi?

Killorn's projected contract is much worse in length and AAV

I think he'll get 5 years at least.

Wonder if Alex Killorn could do that role. Bet Bertuzzi gets a bad contract. Killorn might not.

3 years 5.8, sure sign me up.

Took the 2nd most predicted contract from Evolving Hockey, eh?

No mention of the 6 years at $6.8M per that they are predicting as the most likely deal?

Is 5 years at $6M per a bad contract for Bertuzzi?

The odds of longer than a 5 year deal are very low based on the comparables. Less than 8% chance total low.

I did. The money is usually close, but the term is all over the place.

I don't know what to think of him. If you get 7-8 interested teams, that term is going to get longer and longer.. for Bertuzzi.

I don't know if Killorn gets the same interest. He's much older and based on his play style, long term is a huge risk.

I do not agree on Bertuzzi.

I think his inconsistent play will have teams balking at a long term deal.

Never doubt a strong playoff performance. It's a sickness in GMing

Has that been the case in recent years...?

Also, it was only 7 games.

Where did any of the three have good playoff performances?

I thought all of those were overpaid due to grit and glue attributes, and trying to have some of the Tampa success rub off on their respective new teams.

Could be wrong on that.

Faulk and the 25th overall pick the Blues got from Toronto for Jokiharju...? Maybe the Blues retain a million per on Faulk's deal?

Paul has fit like a glove in Tampa, that is a solid core player.

Coleman and Goodrow leave a good amount to be desired due do the term left in their respective deals, so agreed there.

Teams are desperate to add these role player types to their cores to round out their rosters, giving these types of players NMC's are the real mistakes.

Of course it is. Ostlund is probably two years away from a roster spot. Savoie a year problably. I said it before but it would be kinda poopty if they didn't pick a D in the first round.

We know, we don't know what the team is going to look like in a couple years. But the forward logjam is very real.

- TheSabresTaco

Ostlund is another year in europe and then 2 years in rochester.

Savoie is another year in junions and 1 in rochester.

Kulich will prob be first call up next year. So full time spot in another year.

Gotta make a decision on Rosen soon i think….

Do you think Johnson spends time in Rochester next year or is assumed a spot in Buffalo?

Rosen waxes and wains, but IMO he might be the next closest to ready beside Kulich. His skating is NHL caliber already, I honestly think his biggest hurdle will be getting more muscle on that frame. He was drafted at 156lbs, he's up to 174lbs, so the work is being put in. I would imagine somewhere in the 180s is his end goal weight.

Yeah, 29 sacks in the last 50gms. Will help Rousseau too if Von isn't ready.

Preseason will be a good indicator of where he’s at depth wise. I think that is too early to tell.

Great signing.

I know this is going to be obvious.

But if the Allen prior to the packers game shows up. We win a Super Bowl.

If the allen post mid packers / jets game shows up. We will have issues.

Team is set up pretty darn good. It’s all on allen (which in football is always the case anyways)
