Jamie Benn is a douche bag of a player. Plays dirty. He cross-checked Larkin in the neck a two seasons ago injuring him for half the season. He didn't even get a slap on the wrist. So happy to see his team knocked out of the playoffs.

Homie didn’t say it 3 years ago. It’s a quote in his avatar. The next time he posts, ask him.

pretty simple

I would rather a sabres coach work with our 20 year old prospect under contract in rochester than a part time farmer/part time whl coach or some euro coach that will bury him on the 4th line

Jesus Christ, why didn't somebody just say that rather than make it sound cryptic. For what it's worth, I agree. Sabre prospects should be in our system once they're twenty being coached by personnel from the Sabres organization whether in Rochester or even further down in Cincinnati unless they are still under contract with their European team.

Ostlund is 19 and had the option to come over. Sabres seemed to want him in Roch. Might not be a big deal, but interesting.

I don't think it is either. Add it with all the other prospect issue lately, and it does make you wonder. Is being blocked out of an NHL opportunity this year a factor?

I think Tanev might cost more than ppl would like but still probably not 13th
- Michael Ghofrani

He's a pending UFA who will turn 34 before the new year.

Just how much is he going to cost?

I certainly would not trade the Sabres 1st round pick for him.

If that is what Calgary wants, move on to the next player.

Don't think Kozak will be here next year, but he definitely has the skills to be a decent 4th Line C

The Sabres really could have a top 9 that not to many teams could match up with. And depending on how they form that last line. Sabres could really roll 4 lines that will be a handful.

It is an interesting question long term about having enough space for all the forwards, especially if you lock in all of Krebs, Mittelstadt, Peterka and Quinn long term.

As long as he gets the ice time.

Ideally he would have been in Rochester, but the SHL is also a very good hockey league.

Of course it is. Ostlund is probably two years away from a roster spot. Savoie a year problably. I said it before but it would be kinda poopty if they didn't pick a D in the first round.

We know, we don't know what the team is going to look like in a couple years. But the forward logjam is very real.

I'd like to hear Kevo's thoughts on the topic. Hopefully he speaks during the combine.

Also if they picked Simashev he's not on the Sabres for at least two years either because of his contract. It would be the perfect time to get a top 4 ELC defenseman on the roster though.

We both see the same thing.
That said, I do think adding in a mixture if some grit upfront would only help...not a knuckle dragger as the extremists like to go to with in their exaggerated counter argument. Just a tough as nails, physical presence who can hang in a top 6 or 9 role.

Wonder if Alex Killorn could do that role. Bet Bertuzzi gets a bad contract. Killorn might not.

3 years 5.8, sure sign me up.

I agree, that's why I kinda started pushing for Crouse a couple years ago. His brain and physical attributes started catching up to Body. Hard to find those types. Hopefully Nadeau keeps progressing, he has the skills to be more than a 4th liner and he definitely isn't afraid to throw his body around.

Another kid who really took a step forward as the year rolled on. Sabres Development Staff seems to be pushing the right buttons with these prospects.

Is a 4 year $6M per contract bad for Bertuzzi?

Killorn's projected contract is much worse in length and AAV
