Agreed. Will be interesting to see what happens. If the lease expires in a couple years, does TPegs use it as leverage to get public funding for something, whether it's a new arena or a rehab? I have a hard time seeing him foot the bill for upgrades.
I remember when they bought the team he said him and Kim were going to go see games in every arena to see what they do and then make the best gameday experience here. Still waiting for that to happen. Can't even get a modern scoreboard.

Yeah, so 25 to 26 years ish old.

Besides slapping on paint in the 100s and 300s level. Not much has been done. Bathrooms and most of the concessions look the same.

The only new one is southern tier and the beer market area near 106

200 level has had some updates. But that was due to gambling and msg using it as a set

So yeah, it needs new seats, new Jumbotron, need to open up the 100 level space wise

Erie County (Larry Quinn said this too). The arena was bare minimum with everything they built inside. Very very cheap and boring.

Never have been in that “new” arena, I remember going to the old Aud, but don’t remember much about the arena, except it was kinda smelly and smoky in there.
I only remember getting to see 11, 7, and 14. Playing the Habs and that freaking all star team.

My understanding was Kim pegula was heavily involved. Going as far as flying around and trying out different venue foods across the nhl.

I doubt we see anything before they threaten to leave the wny area. Fake threaten of course......
