Difference between 37 year old Duncan Keith and 30 year old Parayako (sp?) is pretty massive.

Justin Faulk would be old if we waited for his contract to finish out

From what I've seen and heard, Dahlin has been the one leading the team in everything. Off ice workouts, pregame workouts, offseason conditioning, holding players accountable, being vocal when necessary.

Everything.

This is correct.

If past and present is any indication

That's just facts.

I will eat an entire gallon of Pelēkie zirņi ar speķi if Zemgus Girgensons wins the Conn Smythe

Would anyone consider Petry and Detroit's 2023 2nd for Lybushkin ?
I think I would do that deal.

Sure but parayko does.

We’ve seems teams be able to move contracts with a pick all the time.

Sabres should be in a good spot if it absolutely comes to that.

oof idk. I think eventually the Sabres are going to have to pay a team to take skinner and they're gunna have us bent over cause of his no move.

I dont think they can afford to do that more than once.

yes and no. I mean in terms of assets you're probably right, but his contract structure is such that a buyout hits the Sabres with a nasty cap hit right in the middle of when they would want the most savings.

The guy that just had a career year at age 31 and has 4 years left?

Skinner is not speedy nor physical, he relies on edge work and IQ. The cliff imo won’t be as steep for him.

It's still a 9 mil cap hit and there will be a drop off. He wont be terrible or anything like that but, if they want to free up most of that 9 million, they'll have to pay steep-ish price.

I agree....plus he is a rat on the ice, can transition to 4th line winger ...I mean WTF, Sabres are use to throwing money away unnecessarily on the 4th line wings.

I might be a bit cynical but, I think it needs to happen summer 2025. That's when they'll be right in the heart of their window and feel the cap squeeze.
