Hopefully Savoie is learning and taking mental notes. Gonna have to get a bit bigger to be able to work the boards effectively. Skating is top notch and definitely has the IQ for the game.

Is this round of AHL playoffs best out of 7? Also, if anyone is anyone is wondering what Bylsma is up to these days he is the Head Coach of the Coachella Valley Firebirds! A potential Amerks opponent if they make it to the Calder Cup Finals

Yes, it’s best of 7 from here on. What you’re seeing now is why it would have been so good for the Sabres to squeak in. The physicality, intensity, and speed get cranked up in the playoffs. Regardless of how this ends up with the Amerks at this point, they’re experiencing what the playoffs are all about and it’ll help their development.

He needs to hit the gym and get stronger on the puck and in corners. He is definitely fast enough for the nhl

savoie is going to need to live in the gym the entire summer to have a chance to make the sabres. but when he nails down his battling strength, watch out.

his time in the amerks is vital to get him into the right mindset of what it takes to battle in pro hockey.

Him playing against the Hershey Bears in the finals is way more significant than playing against partial NHL preseason lineups. The intensity and physicality against Hershey is 10x greater. Very happy he's there to experience that.

Imagine if the Sabres can get him without actually overpaying him. He fits like a glove but I don't think his contract demands is the right fit here.

I actually like the Chris Tanev idea a lot, especially if we can extend him for a couple years.

Onboard with that. He could play with Dahlin or power no issues

Yup that is what I noticed. Also realize that the refs sucked last night. It was honestly ridiculous some of the penalties not called

Games aren’t normally that physical and ridiculous

One the “Big 4” forward prospects probably will be a total bust relative to expectations

I’m hoping another fan base unfortunately finds out.

Aren't there 7? Krebs, Quinn, and JJ have some NHL time but are no where near expectations yet.

I agree with what others have posted about Savoie. Has the speed, skating, IQ and shot for the pro game. Needs to put on some muscle this summer.

There were a couple of plays he made over the past two games to the trailing dman, only to have them flub the pass. Davies was one. Can't remember the other. If that's an NHL defenceman they're walking in on the goalie.

Eh.

Krebs has played 130 NHL games. He’s not a prospect. And anyone expecting some wild jump from him will probably be disappointed

Quinn I think is a sure thing to be very good and productive

Peterka I guess counts.

I’m more talking the big 4 first rounders thaf have 0 NHL games

What are you drinking?

Krebs due to our depth was on the 4th line with dumb and dumber. How could anyone produce anything with those 2?

They need to give Krebs atleast 1 capable winger to see what he has. Adams and Company have decisions to make and need to evaluate a bit quicker. They have so much Top 9 talent.

Let's see if Casey carries it over to this season. Still has to prove that.

Yes because those 3 careers paths are identical

Thompson played for a coach who got fired in St. Louis, then Ralph Krueger. He also played with Sobotka in St. Louis and in Buffalo. Oh and his wife got cancer all while he was trying to make it in the NHL

Mitts was rushed to the NHL, put in a role he wasn’t ready for, then played for the worst coach in NHL history

which of those career paths mirror Krebs, in the least?

I said not to expect any wild jump. You literally then explained part of the reason why that’s correct in your post?

Are you being dense on purpose?

Danny Biere stats his 1st 4 years
112 Gms 53/47/100, age 24.
His year 3 had 64 gms, in 3 other yrs played only 48 total
He took off in year 5, producing 60 points

Casey Mittlestadt, 1st 4 years
155 Gms 27/34/61, age 22
He took off in the 2nd half of year 6 at age 24 producing 59 points

Peyton Krebs his 1st 3 years
135 Gms, 16/35/51. Age 22

I'd give Peyton at least another year or 2 and possibly at age 24 he pops.

Prior to January I would have traded Mittelstadt for a Klondike bar.

It took him 230 games in his age 24 season and 99% of the fanbase capitulating on his potential before he figured it out.

Krebs is miles ahead defensively at this point in his career then Mitts was.

Maybe if Girgensons could convert on a scoring opportunity that Samuel freaking Blais can bury he’d get more points.

Crazy I know

That's where I think you contradict yourself a bit. I'd be fine if they decide to move him this summer, especially if they think he's going to get stuck as a 4C. If you can use him to go get a D, you can add a 4C fits what this team needs better.

Would $6M per for 6 seasons be considered overpaying for Severson?

That's his projection based on the comparables.
