Dahlin just played his 5th season and had 73 points and all signs point to future captain and now Power has every right to feel like he should get what dahlin gets after his rookie year and 35 points?

A few days ago people were talking about trading for a great AHL defenseman from maybe columbus that was 4OA ( forgot his name )and it would solidify defense.

If we did that and he scored 35 points next year we hope to sign him to 9mil per and pay 3 defenseman 28mil a year?

When you sign a player to a max term deal coming off their ELC, aren't you paying at least in part for what they'll ultimately become, not just what they deserve based on past performance?

Then KA not afraid to bridge because secretly he is Boss34 and knows the vibes will be great those 3 years and will stick around for another 8 after that

First 15 games looked like belongs in the ECHL.

Next 30 games he looked great.

Last 40 games he either looked really good or sometimes lost. Even remember some on here said he deserved to sit a game late in the season.

Do you think he had a better year that year 1 Tyler Meyers?

I think this one screams long term deal. Saving some cap space on the early years isn't a benefit here and I don't think there's much question on how good Power already is. His bridge won't be cheap either.

I just can't see GMKA staying pat with UPL and Levi. Not after what happened last year.

The needs of this team are so glaring. We are talking a Vet back up goalie, MAF, Varlamov, Andersen etc.. and a RHD. hell I would even take back Tyler Myers for a few years. he is better then anything we currently have.

Isn't that always the calculated gamble? Get paid now and be secure for life, or wait a couple more years and hope you are healthy and as good as you think you are going to be.
