And BTW do we already know or suspect what uniform number is Bedard going to wear?

Novel idea if he choose #22 representing the next center after Makita

- jhawk59

I hope its #16

i like the lower traditional numbers.

I think you're confused it sure seems like your talking about Murphy.
- BetweenTheDots

In two seasons with the Hawks, Jones is a -75

In those same two seasons Murphy is a -24

Maybe he shouldn't be playing so many minutes cause he sure the (frank) ain't helping keep the other team from scoring

Sure you have all seen the 2 round mock draft Pronman and Wheeler did (each alternating picks)-link below. Would not be upset if it went down in that order (summary Hawks end up with #1 Bedard, #19 But, #35 Nadeau, #44 Lind, #51 Cataford, #55 Myatovic)

C'mon, no way Hawks could pass up my boy Halttunen at #44 if he's there

Also, second time I'm seen Daniil But ( Da kneel boot) is there not any Russian issues with him?

Where I saw that Pronman list and thought IF he is correct we score and several levels with who Pronman has on the board. I see the board different and HOPE if we are unable to tarde down, we get the chance to get the forwards he has near the Hawk picks.

The issue with the list I have is it has many reaches I believe.

Corey has has a penchant to over reach in various tools over draft like Dominik Bokk, who he had in a top elite tier except he evaluation didn't take in teh fact that he was straight chicken poop.

If wood drops to 19th that would a steal imo. Doubt it happens, but would like the hawks select a couple of big power forwards. Whether it's in the 1st or 2nd round.
- Scott1977

Check out Wood's skating. Playing RW, right shot wearing #71 in the white. He's the youngest player in D1 but that won't effect his skating. https://www.youtube.com/w...channel=ThePuckEnthusiast

After you watch this let me know if you'd like the Hawks to draft him.

Scott, now watch another big guy's skating. Sam Honzek. Kid is in the red #29, left shot RW. Plays PK, PP and 1st line. All situations player. https://www.youtube.com/w...channel=ThePuckEnthusiast

Who would you rather the Hawks draft, Wood or Honzek?

Bedard is bubble generational?
I figured he was head and shoulders above Fantili and Michkov who are both considered "elite"?

I'm honestly still not sure what to make out of him. I see a lot of Stamkos/Pasta talk. Then someone else says he is a Crosby level, then I see elite but not generational.
The funny thing is we probably won't know for another year or two like with McDavid.

I see Wood is rated higher, but Honzek looks smoother skater, better stick handler.

One thing for sure, getting a good player at #19.

Can you find us a Sam Bennett in the draft Wiz - nasty, mean, hits to hurt with a horrible on ice disposition? I don't care what position he plays.

Bedard should start a new trend. Since he was born in 2005, his number should be 05. No one will mistake him for Murphy.

This is what makes me laugh about all the people whining that the Hawks got the 1OA. They would be getting a great player almost regardless of where they picked.

I wouldn’t worry at all about what to call him. He still needs to come into camp, and prove that he can do what he does at the professional level. I don’t really have many doubts, but there is far more to him being a great player than being picked first and putting on a sweater. Habits, teammates, line mates, coaching, etc. whatever we call him now is irrelevant.

Either would be a good addition. Hawks are lacking size so both fill the that hole.

1. WHo is playing against the opposing team's top line?
2. How much offense has Jones created vs Murphy in that same time frame?

Numbers can be played with to support any argument.

last night i watched Bedard's Rookie Season highlights. if ever was a Generational Talent its Bedard. 15 years old and just dominated the WHL. and his shot is out of this world and will only get better!

Agreed and the #1 objective on Davidson's shopping list this offseason should be finding this kid, Bedard, 2 quality linemates to play with. If Reichel is it, I can stomach it....but 2 proven NHL scorers would be ideal....and no, 1 is not Max Domi.

They actually aren't set up that poorly with size - height at least (don't kill me fattybeef). Del Mastro is already a big guy (6'4" 214), Nolan Allan (6'2" 200), Phillips is big, Vlasic, and Korchinski is 6'2" (although currently a bit light, but still young). Kaiser is the smallest of the guys that have a chance to stick around.

In the forward group, you have Dach at 6'4" 200. Hayes is 6'2" 180 at 19 yo. Savoie isn't necessarily that big (5'10" and 180) but he certainly plays that way. I say they just keep building to suit their plan. Not to mention we have no idea who they will sign as FA's

He Can't have Rusty's number. Heard it's gonna be hanging in the rafters. KD will see to it.
