Ask a bunch of people (who have zero skin the game) who to root for when there is an underdog....and everyone picks the underdog. This could probably apply to any sport.

I'm happy for the Panthers, especially Bob and Gudas. Bob has always had the ability, now he has the consistency to go along with it, and a really good team in front of him. I'm rooting for them, and hope they win it all.

"We want Florida"

People need to understand this was not because Leafs fans thought Florida to be the easier route to the Final Four, but because we wanted to see the Bruins blow a 3 games to 1 lead and lose a series as such heavy favourites.

This was never about Florida, but about maximizing the pain for the Bruins (who has inflicted so much on the Leafs over the last 15 years).

NHL fans have a top 10 list of favourite teams? I don't. I love 1 team and basically hate the rest. Most die hard fans are like that.

But fairweather fans I guess can like numerous teams at once. I suspect Florida being such heavy underdogs in round 1 is the main reason.

- Cooleus

yes some of these folks drive me crazy. the wifes boss is a Boston fan and when they went out she was then cheering for Toronto which Im pretty sure is punishable by death. I even have games ie Toronto v Montreal where I find myself wishing that both teams could somehow lose hahah

Man Brodie was HORRIBLE on the play

Toronto's goaltending + d-men together rank are outside the top 10, possibly top 15 IMO. Outside game 6, the leafs allowed 20 goals in the first 5 games vs Tampa. Only 3 playoff games they didn't allow 3 goals or more against (including series winning game 6, and the 1 win against FLA). Big changes needed in TOR

Leafs fans... I used to feel sorry for them because...well, because their Leafs fans... but apparently all these years of underachieving with a squad of divas has them just not thinking clearly.... so yes, we understand..... in terms of 10 teams to like...I don't think so, this is the NHL and generally fans hate nearly every team but their own ..... I honestly was pulling for Carolina, though I'm not upset that Bob is owning the series..... if it's Florida and Vegas I may tune in a little, but won't invest in entire games...

Or the fans were so ecstatic over their 1st round win that they wanted Florida as a golf destination for the players after a 2nd round exit.

It's on par with the Ligtning-Stars matchup.

Those Covid Cups were a little lackluster to watch, even for a Bolts or Dallas fan.

Doesn't make it any less arrogant or dumb. Par for the course with the majority of Leafs fans.

Ottawa's entire team ranks outside the top 20.

The SC final won't beat the Flyers vs Troit ratings. Including inflation.

I am a Habs fan first and foremost, then a fan of hockey at all levels. Florida was the Presidents trophy winner a season back, so it is not like they have a bad group. They are playing inspired hockey, and play a heavy style which works really well in the PO's.

Pretty certain the Leafs now know what is lacking in their group.....

I wonder if Winnipeg is happy for Maurice, or if they hate him more now that he is winning with another team.

Seems he always was ridiculed for not having a great structure/plan, and tended to lose buy-in from his players during the year. Is he simply riding a better overall roster, or is he actually coaching better than he was previously.

...do they? Dubas had many kicks at the playoff can to add what was lacking. And never did. Somehow he's now coveted as the top GM free agent.

Well, they probably don't, but they should.

Anytime a free agent comes with a ton of hype, buyer beware......
