Maybe you might want to actually have kids and learn that kids are impressionable and maybe, just maybe, will latch on to any idea presented by a person of authority (say a teacher or counselor or anyone who they see that aren't their parents) even if it might, just might not be beneficial to their development. I've said this before, I'll say it again, if you don't want a stranger pedo teaching your kids about sex... Why do we think it's so much better if a teacher does it? There have never been any real studies done by neutral parties about how teaching children before puberty beyond basic sex education and hygiene can warp their sexuality into ways they might not have normally been. It's one thing if your teaching a teenager who's already gone through puberty, has an idea of who they might be attracted to and are of the age of consent about such things because they are old enough to understand nuance. And don't tell me it doesn't happen here, I go to school board meetings and have had access to in-camera committee meetings where complaints against teachers teaching kids as young as kindergarteners about sex with no input from parents or any mandate from them to do so. If you all think this is ok, then I don't know what to tell you.

There’s a special board, full of very intelligent guys like you where they talk about this stuff. Go there!

I watched them on the Weakest Link game show about Trivia and I suggest they never do that again. They make this group look smart.

I don't see how that's even possible.

It would be nice for someone to drop out of the top 10. Yager I heard on a podcast that he talked to a scout and the scout called Yager the next Tyler Sequin, once he fills out and gets stronger. I mean I'm taking Sequin at 11 all day everyday

Cristall, Perrault are probably the only players that I'd be pretty meh on at 11. I'd hope though if they wanted to reach for Willander, Bonk, Ritchie whomever that they trade down a bit, even then they look like they will be 200+ game players for sure and might be worth it to just gets some hits on picks.

Trust me it was brutal. Some questions a six-year-old could answer. It was very funny though some of the answers.

And so she knows what's best for EVERY child? Since, of course, all children are the exactly the same and therefore all must be treated exactly the same regardless? Even if that's not exactly what's in their best interest? If you want to teach your kids about sexuality and such as a parent, that's one thing and totally your right to do. I just do not feel it is the right of government or experts to do so to other children when they haven't even developed to the point where sexuality and such can be felt especially if it goes against a parents beliefs. There needs to be a happy medium where kids stay kids and aren't exposed by people of authority who aren't parents to things best left until they are older and can understand nuance and decide things for themselves. If that's ignorance, fine, I'll take being ignorant and be happy in it, especially if the alternative is accepting a philosophy that goes against my entire instincts as a parent. You should have the right to teach your children your beliefs and not have them countermanded by other people with authority over your children because it doesn't follow what's in vogue. If your children when they are old enough decide to believe differently than you, that's their choice.
- DariusKnight

She actually treats every one of her kids to their specific needs and personalities.

I find with the conversations with my wife is that parents are a large part of the issues with a lot of these kids.

I agree there should be a medium and for most people that aren't idiots or fanatics or trump supporters, there is.

Thanks to the internet and everything else, children are exposed to these types of things much earlier than previous generations. No, it doesn't need to be shoved down their throats but it's ignorance to think that it isn't out their and children shouldn't be educated on it.

Trust me, kids have made these choices about their sexual preferences and personalities much earlier than most people think.

A couple weeks ago over a drink my wife said to me that day she had heard from 3 different kids that they wished their parents "would just shut up and listen to how they feel" instead of trying to tell them how they should feel.

Wife has started the story about the Duggar family. It's pretty sickening she said. That's a family teaching their beliefs to their 21? kids.

And Elias Pettersson.

Honestly, the interviews they do at the combine I would love to hear. People's thought processes and how peoples minds work has always fascinated me.

Not in the same way of white women and serial killers.

A little interesting Calum Ritchie right hand center with size.

The 18-year-old right-handed shot accomplished this despite dealing with a shoulder injury sustained eight months earlier, during the 2022 Hlinka Gretzky Cup in August. But he worked himself into shape and, all the while, never made excuses.

"I was just strengthening it throughout the OHL season but re-injured it during OHL playoffs and right before the U-18 Worlds," Ritchie said. "I made the decision that I was going to go (to Switzerland), so I asked if I could stay an extra week (in Oshawa) to strengthen the shoulder. I stayed back, missed some exhibition games, but was there for the start.

"After the tournament, I had a procedure done so it's all good now."

He played the entire season with a shoulder injury. If the shoulder is better, that could move him up some places. Had a pretty good season considering then.

Ritchie has 23 interviews scheduled with NHL clubs at the Scouting Combine this week.

Shoulder injuries can be problematic & can easily be an ongoing issue over time. Knees wrists backs & shoulders are all very important to play hockey. Not a fan of taking risks on those. Concussions are a huge red flag.

I only could read like 30 pages before I went to the end....

I got banned for "religious reasons" once on here. The day of the US pullout of the middle east. I had posted a news clip, and got banned because someone Muslim was offended by my post.

Why can't someone of faith have and keep beliefs that you might not? Why are the equality people the first to point out who's the scum of the earth? Talk about cultural appropriation....God's message to Noah the he won't do no more floods? (rainbow)

Oh yeah...during the thirty someone was "no its not.." When Lord of the Large made a take on hard drugs in Vancouver.

Sooooo, he's right.....again.

Now before being banned for being an ist or a phobe. Who you love is who you love. What consenting adults do, is none of my business. Its the targeting of children that is concerning. You do you....just leave them kids alone.

No one is targeting kids except priests and the Trumps and Epsteins of the world. And while you may not have even considered it, queer people are children when they are young and suffer from far greater self harm and suicide rates than straight people. So this idea saving children from knowing about being gay is doing them a favour is, again, ignorance disguised as being apolitical.

Somehow I think you probably deserved that ban.

I fully realize we’re in the midst of the Canucks golf season. So can we keep all the non hockey related garbage out of here. Idk if others agree or not & Idc. Too often all the crap in here has no place so take it elsewhere where ppl care to waste time on crap that has nothing to do with a sports blog. Keep it light & try to stick to hockey or other generally accepted topics that don’t inundate this blog.

Ok back to who do we hate or want to character assassinate or toss under the bus?

I’ll begin with Myers who wants an MTA & go join his buddy JV in the DEL.

Boeser comes to camp with snarl & a mean streak & speed. Oops I nodded off there & was dreaming.

OEL comes to camp on a mission to earn his contract. Not betting on it.

Allvin makes a blockbuster trade. Fans go so ballistic there is anarchy in the streets between both factions for & against it. SNAFU in Canuckville.

Gavrikov more than I’d thought. I like him a lot but his offence is meh. LAK are looking pretty good.

If we can unload some cap who do you like for a UFA D?

Ask yourself the serious question why full grown men want to play 'dress up' and perform and expose themselves in front of 5 year olds. Champs don't seem to have the answer they don't even know what a Woman is lol.

Not once have I defended the 'Church' and their history. So you think we should just 'let it be' and allow the kids to be exposed to a whole new level of long-term indoctrination because it satisfies 0.04% of the gender dysphoric population? Why not right? Instead of actually taking care of the mental illnesses in question better to just massage it all into normalcy like the church did with History.
