It’s okay you seemed triggered over a question. Player preference is all fine though basing it on nationality and your woke buddy endorsing that is priceless.

Thank goodness you are giving approval.

Not sure you are smart enough to understand, but if someone puts something in bold, it usually means they are referencing that part of the comment.
Maybe next time I show up, I will try give you some more educational help.

BREAKING: Brad Treliving is expected to be named GM of #LeafsForever, per @DarrenDreger
- LeftCoaster

Flames president of hockey operations Don Maloney got emotional last month announcing Treliving’s departure from Calgary after nine seasons and three playoff series victories.

“Brad Treliving is a good friend, and I think a very good hockey man,” Maloney said. “He left us, for his reasons.”

11 VAN Eduard Sale RW | HC Kometa Brno 6'1" 168 lbs Mar 10, 2005 Czechia
12 ARI Brayden Yager C | Moose Jaw 6'0" 165 lbs Jan 3, 2005 Canada
13 BUF Axel Sandin Pellikka D | Skellefteå AIK 5'11" 181 lbs Mar 11, 2005
14 PIT David Reinbacher D | EHC Kloten 6'2" 187 lbs Oct 25, 2004 Austria
15 NSH Matthew Wood LW/C | UConn 6'3" 190 lbs Feb 6, 2005 Canada

28 days till the draft. These are Tankathon's players in the mock 11 through 15.

Sale trending at a Podkolzin type of pick. Going to take years, at least playing in Czech league he would get a much better development path than Podz did.

Yager, ASP high upside picks. Reinbacher falling that far I can't really imagine.

Matthew Wood, as at u18s that he is capable of playing alongside better players but is still a raw player for 11. Still a lot of centers on the board then.

We should aim for the best regular season ever followed by a first round collapse kinda team
- neem55

It’s all based on nationality didn’t you know… lol

Anyway the Don Cherry’s of the world have a right to voice their opinion I guess.

I would think so also. Very good forward group that have the potential to be better than the defenders is all.

As seen every year defenders that aren't labelled as top pair guys still going a few spots higher than a lot of rankings.

I would doubt that Van has interest in him honestly.

I still look forward to Podz getting into playoffs. He still has only 118 NHL games. I'm a 300 game guy before really know what a player is about at the NHL level.

Late bloomers, Chandler Stephenson had 33 points in 168 games in Washington.

186 pts in 252 since he got to Vegas.

Podz is only 22 next season. He probably shouldn't have stepped on the ice in the NHL yet really with the lack of years in development he had in the KHL.

Yeah, I hope Van picks up a Fwd that won't have a long development timeline, there is a lot of talent at the top of this draft, someone good should fall to them

His KHL team (frank)ed him over hard in terms of development all because they were mad that he wanted to play in NA. Probably set him back a full 1-2 years.

Why call him this instead of DPetey?

Sounds very Don Cherry like your takes on Canadians vs Swedes.

Players should be defined by their attributes not their national origin. We can lament the Canucks lack of Canadian stars but that shouldn’t be the reason for their losing.
- Quinn's Quest

I will call him whatever I feel like, if you want to call him defeaty, go right ahead.
I really don't care what you, or anyone thinks about my opinions are on the types of players I prefer.

Just so you know this is bolding unlike what you did above.

By the way I am sure many of us like Canadian players. It’s just we don’t put other players down because they are not.

I'd still prefer the player with the highest upside. Maybe it is time to hit on some lower ceiling, higher floor players to compliment some of the other draft picks the team has made in the past couple years.

Some players with distribution qualities would be nice for all of Van's scoring wingers though. Probably why I'm higher on Yager as he added that quality to his game this season.

Later on in the first Calum Ritchie or Otto Stenberg.

Ericksson Ek took seven years before he broke out. People on here dont have the mental fortitude, like many Canucks fans.

I mean, there's something to it. Sure looks like the average Canadian player knows how to up their game more come playoff time. You look at these depth/heart players, alot are Canadian! That being said, im not looking at nationality when i look at prospects.

I'd rather we draft and stockpile top-end D, they fetch a lot at the TDL and before the draft. It's our greatest position of weakness and if we turn it into a strength we can trade the excess for the other positions we lack.

McCann, Forsling.

Some break out early 20's, other's mid 20's

Miller wasn't a PPG till 26.

I'm looking 2018 draft picks that could break out and possibly be had for cheaper. Isac Lundestrom, Oliver Wahlstrom, Rasmus Kupari.

So you want to trade this years first round pick for one next season? There really isn't a lot of top end defenders in this draft class (at least from what projects)

If Jim would have just let the draft picks develop

Of course, so Canucks fans can complain about them being allowed to develop and not thrown to the wolves at first chance.
