Not EVERY poster. Nighthawk is cheerleading 24/7, 365.
- Marwood

One poster, I like Nighthawk but even he was getting into the negativity shtick for a while.

But in all honesty there are a couple of us positive objective realistic Canuck fans left, then there is the rest of you guys...

Sure but he gave up 5 goals the very next game.
- golfingsince

Yeah, but he started making big saves at the right time. I think things started snowballing for Fla from that point.

Ok then……Nighty is driving the bus and you are waving fanatically out the window, good?

I'm alright with that.

Elliotte Friedman on the Canucks trying to clear cap space : They are making calls but don't expect anything soon. I do not believe there going the buyout route to clear space, they will continue to work trades.

Carolina seemingly has been the better team. Bob has played well but isn't this sort of the same story every year about Carolina for a while now. Struggle to score, been the better team but still losing.

Rod has that team playing a great structure, great defence, forecheck hard and play hard. Lots of offence from the defence.

Is it a personnel problem then? They just don't have enough talent?

- manvanfan

Easy to forget they haven't had Svechnikov all playoffs.

Can’t remember if he was injured before or after the trade deadline. If before, I can understand that that they might not think it’s their year to go all in. If after, then they have no excuse.

They announced it about a week and a half after the TDL

Feel free to quote it now that you can actually read it. I think about 90% of those are overpayments

If it costs this year's first to get OEL off the books, I'm game.

I would love this deal if the hawks were motivated to move up. I personally don’t see why they would be, but maybe if they had a specific player in mind like Moore or Yager that they are really high on I guess. Seems like they are better off with multiple picks

with 4 2nd rounders this year alone they're likely better off improving positioning if they're after a specific player or two.

That's what I said and with 27 picks over the last 3 drafts already.

I said when I made that scenario that normally those picks 11 for 19 and 35 would be equal value. (according to draft pick value charts). As they said though maybe beneficial if they take Garland off our hands for our 2nd back in 24' or a prospect like Paul Ludwinski or Colton Dach.

Garland isn't negative value just not a lot of value but he's value to Chicago for the fact that they have 41m in cap space.

Dhaliwal says that doesn't appear that the Canucks are going to sign Connor Lockhart.

Organization has already met the midget quota anyways.

Not surprised by this. He’s 20 and hasn’t exactly dominated in the playoffs. Especially given his size.
