Actually, if Giroux retires the Flyers would be right there, and actually below, the Canucks. ……………………

With NJ on the rise I can see Jack Hughes passing Parise in just three or four years.

Byron Bader

Eduard Sale was a T10 pick for me at the start of the year with his tremendous D-1 season. He moved to the Czechia league in his DY and the fall off was big. Not good news on the "star" front.

There is 1 player that is essentially the North American version of this - Cammalleri

I guess Sale is out and someone going to get a bust.

With Parise turning 39 in July I can see it happening much sooner.

Ek question of the day

Brock Boeser for Ivan Provorov.

Both players fill very specific needs for each team…

Would you do it?

I'd say no.

Jeff Skinner is 31 years old and he’s NEVER played in the playoffs.

The Florida Panthers have five players drafted in the top 5 on their roster in Ekblad, E Staal, Barkov, Reinhart, and Bennett. Plus Matthew Tkachuk drafted 6th overall. Only two of these guys, Ekblad and Barkov, were drafted by the Panthers.

Why draft at the bottom when you can just trade for guys that were picked there for much less

Didn't A.I. say we'll have a cup in Van in 2028?

AI must know of some hella good trades and draft picks we’re getting in the next 5 years
Beyond Demko and Pettersson, I’m not really sure we have elite enough players. Sure Hughes is good but in the playoffs when teams start targeting him, will he stand up to the physicality?

I'd say yes. They both have two years left and Provy would be a good TDL pickup for someone which could net you a few good assets in a year and a bit.

You traditionally don't think of the Panthers as a good team, or market, but they won the coveted President's Trophy last year and they've gone full-in the past few years, kinda like Vegas with trading away first round picks to supplement the kids they drafted.

They traded away their 2024 first round picks as well to the Flyers for Giroux last year and their 2025 first round pick for Matthew Tkachuk. No first round picks for four straight years.

#Canucks are the only team already over next year's salary cap. Nobody is going to do them favours in a straight trade for a salaried player. If an OEL buyout isn't an option, trading down is their best opportunity to clear some cap space. Resounding 'yes' from me.

This site has become very difficult to use, because of the ads taking over. Yes,I have se real ad guards, none are working.

Anyways, have they traded any of the large pile of garbage yet.

Let's get some real hockey players, get rid of everyone of the pieces of poop on the Canucks.

Management needs to create that “Garage Sale” type hype!

With cap friendly update, now it shows the Canucks have $5,081,250 in cap space once Pearson and Poolman go on LTIR.
