I'm not sure the NYR are ready to move him yet?
- VanHockeyGuy

I think his price is going to go down before it goes up. I am not a fan of his but I am tying in his connection to his former agent. He could be a decent third line player.

I don't like the price of it, I think it makes everything they have done for a year completely pointless.
- manvanfan

I like some of the things the team has done but also have seen some moves dating back to Dermott that makes me think it is pointless.

I like JTM the player but his term and NMC gives me a lot of mixed feelings.

There isn't actually too much I've disliked about what management has done because it has looked like a plan for near and far. Trading Miller now without making many other moves would seem counter productive to that plan to me.

Studnicka trade or Richardinson were ones that seemed sucky.

I think most of the people here would say there has to be a part two if they trade Miller. I believe most would think Carlsson would need time in Sweden or in the WHL or something.

Canucks would definitely have to fill the gap at 2C for at least the next three years.

IMO he got beaten out of a spot by Dakota. I don't see a big upside like some of you guys do. Not complaining about him but I am also not a big fan of his. I think he is a lighter version of Mikheyev.
- VANTEL

Beauviller was on much better pace if you factor in his 33 games in Van. Dakota was nowhere near that over a full season. And Beauviller did it with limited TOI as well. Full year under Tocchet. lol

Having said that Joshua was pretty consistent over a full year. Good 4th line guy who can play 3rd line minutes of needed. And it will be lol

No question Beau is a more skilled player. I took the demotion as Canucks were not happy with what Beau was doing in the top and looking for other solutions.

Gap at 2lc and still find a 3lc and re-coop a missed 11oa pick in the prospect pool.

I'm on the 5-7 year to prove yourself train as long as underlying numbers aren't horrible.

I mean this hurts but Vantel says I'm always wrong and nothing I say every comes to fruition. I had Boldy ahead of Podkolzin.

I said none of your Vancouver taking that pick comes true. Again I don't mean any ill intentions but if you make 200 predictions, a few will come to life.

I told you I don't make predictions. I seek out possibilities and projections. I create scenario's that could be possibilities to create talking points as to what others would do and like or dislike.

I have an opinion on things but that's not a prediction. I mean I've kept the 11th pick, traded up, traded down, traded away. Those aren't predictions. A prediction would be the Canucks make the pick at 11.

In my rankings maybe those are predictions. I don't really rank them anymore. It was much too difficult.

Your first sentence then makes my statement of none of your predictions come true then .

That was back in 2019.

The more I look back, a BPA list is an incredibly dumb thing honestly. Especially when creating a team. Which you don't create the whole team but I mean in the overall picture you could be as dumb as the Oilers were for a while and also the Canucks are with just drafting guys that can put the puck in the back of the net with very little other skill sets. Then when you need a different skill set though and you over value that player and it doesn't turn out.

Drafting is just a very difficult thing.

What I'm really noticing is the importance of having competent defenders. They are quite a bit more important imo. As for Danielson, I could be wrong about him for sure but I don't see a top6 center.

It's amazing what a hot Goalie can do to change that perception. I just think a great C at both ends has a bigger impact on Defending.

I see the midget club, minivan and Vantel, are having quite the debate here, you’re just missing Reuby.

Oh….we got ourselves a game now. Big D look fired up!!!

If you’re picking a center at 11, Moore makes more sense imo

See what I did there

Watching the playoffs I’ve realized the Canucks will never Win the cup. The teams that made the final four all consisted of fast, skilled, gritty forwards. And all 4 teams had big, mean physical Defense.

Canucks have a bunch of guys that could pound back a bunch of Bud Lights and Tyler Myers 🤷🏻‍♂️

I was listening to a podcast the other day. I think it was the Sharks podcast guys but they had a guest that had some scout connections and he called Moore a new Carl Hagelin. "Jittery" offence described from the scout.

Really aren't going to get a perfect player at 11. Probably 8 different guys could go 11th.
