Not actually trying to make anyone's head explode but I was talking to an Islander fan and he was scared that the Rangers would indeed hire Capuano and that the Rangers would win with him because...

There wasn't a single thing Capuano did in his overly-long time with the Islanders that would scare me when it comes to him coaching a rival team. He'd probably do better with the Rangers now because, well....most of those Islander teams he coached were hot garbage.

I was more concerned about the rumors that Trotz wanted to coach and Original Six team and him going to either the Leafs or Rangers. The Rangers are the exact kind of team that his style would have fit because they have the offensive horses and the goaltending and he'd make them play strong team defense which probably would have lead to them being one of the best teams in the league. Leafs too, if they ever bothered to even half-address the goaltending.

Thankfully we now know that won't ever happen.

Babcock to coach the Columbus Bluejackets is floating around out there. Which is better than him coaching the Rangers.

If anything Q would 100% be on his best behavior now being in NYC in the limelight and not do anything remotely close to unethical. He didn’t do the crime
