It does not make sense to have a press conference if you have nothing significant to add. I would think L & M would be involved if it's an announcement that Lou is coming back. We'll find out soon I guess.

I’m not sure what you’re expecting him to say? None of these GM’s get up there and say anything all of the fans want to hear least of all Lou. If you’re expecting him to say he’s going to make sweeping changes you’re more then likely going to be disappointed with todays news conference. Even if he were, other then a coaching change which maybe there’s a slight chance, I doubt he would say anything anyway. Look who we’re talking about. The guy is as tight as a clam.

But who knows? Lou keeps you guessing bcs he never says anything then blam he surprises you with something.

No point in keeping Hart around if they're going to be rebuilding for several years. May as well get what they can now and help the tank

I think it was just the standard EOY press conference...weirdly delayed for some reason. Maybe they held off to evaluate and then decided to make no major changes. Who knows. But ultimately, yeah, I guess they called the press conference to say they believe in the group but everyone has to be better

Mayfield was a liability in the regular season for the most part but was pretty good in the playoffs. Not really sure what kind of contract he would get from us but it has a cizikas like feel to it in regards to term which is making me nervous. I’ve always liked mayfield but I’m not big on the idea of resigning him even with his better playoffs. Time to move on imo but I doubt we will.

From all the fans that i speak with, patience with Lou is growing thin. If/when this team come out of the gate slow, I can definitely see the fans turning on him and happy go lucky Ledecky. The "Lou must go" chants will begin to echo in their shiny, new arena.

Well, the main thing for me is he's certainly going to be getting a raise over what he's making now, and any additional money spent on the 5th d-man takes away from money to improve elsewhere.
