I look around the NHL and look see how many undrafted NCAA players are making an impact and I can say it is not enough for me to care about.
When I had seen the list of the who's who I thought big deal.
Like I said what I have seen from Hirose (all 2 periods) I have nothing to complain about yet. - VANTEL
It’s so rare to find late bloomers outta college idc either. Maybe ok if looking for role players but that’s about as good as it gets. Overagers in any league I just don’t get excited about. |

Three generations of of GMs with the same owner saying he wants to make money now. Until that changes I will look in on the day they draft and see the new additions but that is where the excitement ends unless we win the Lotto. - VANTEL
I’d be happy if FA just stayed outta the way. He has no clue there is more money in winning than his idea of giving marching orders to plug holes to set the bar at just making the PO’s. Sustainable growth to set up long runs of winning is the only approach to take. We sit at trading out cap which is playing behind the 8 ball. Gets in the way of truly getting better while it only delays & drags out any real chance of contending anytime soon. |

I’ll be more than curious to see who stays behind this offseason to train & improve skating & skills etc.
It’ll be a big indicator at how well RT gets his message across & players & Mgmt back it up. Gonchar & Foote could get the chance to work on the D in a big way. Especially prospects in conjunction with RJ. Forwards with the Sedins. No more Da Beauty league crap. |

It’s what they have done in Pittsburg for years. I’ll take the free assets and hopefully a few turn out |

The Young Guns Tourney should be huge for prospects to show they are more than ready. Audition for real. Go through walls & then some. |

Canucks way? Our blogger probably writes for them - CanuckDon
I don't think that site exists anymore, but it points out several college free-agents that were signed by the previous regime. |

I think Troy Stecher was the last one that had significant ice time for Canucksand he was not great.

I was sort of hoping they'd take a shot at Wheatcroft. Hoping the same for Milic. With the Covid seasons that happened, I think there are still some free agent opportunities in Junior as well. |

Loved that deal, thought it was a good gamble at the time as he’d put up some good numbers in the AHL. Boy was I wrong, turned out to be another bad Benning trade. |

Ya young, decent size and apparently some toughness. Don’t know much about him but why not - CanuckDon
Had never heard of him, until today. |

Stecher at least, has proven to be an adequate #6D. |

I am fine going after overages from junior, especially now as for reason you noted.
I still like Logan Morrison out of the OHL Ottawa 67s. Could be a potential 3C, but those 3C guys are a dime a dozen. |

I guess if you look at it in a different view, It was a win for Benning, as the pick has only played 16 nhl games and Vey played 120 games for the Canucks. |

He is a good #6 for a bubble or bad team . Like Ethan Bear. |

True, but I never get tired of poopting all over Benning. Worst GM in Canucks history. Hopefully I don’t have to go through the same process with Allvin. |

Watching the Penguins-Devils game. Have seen the Penguins 4 or 5 times this season. Pittsburgh is a poorly constructed team. |

They should’ve traded for Miller. |

I don't mind either one, both are bottom pairing players, but 1 was a college free agent, 1 was a 5th round pick. |
