You ever see Lefty talk about a defenseman that could have been taken, or does he just drool over offense, like most other Canuck fans?
- Reubenkincade

Nope, I just see him viciously attacking younger people on line.

Could've taken Ray Bourque in 1979 instead of Rick Vaive, who they just traded away for nothing.

That 1979 draft is probably the greatest draft in NHL history. Seven 1000+ point players.

And who spoiled and coddled them and parented them that way? The generation that was gifted everything and have only driven the world down since

It's funny when people always refer to them as the participation ribbon generation.. but who gave them those ribbons? They sure as poop didn't give it to themselves

Hey, everyone who posts in here is earning a participation ribbon. It's up to the individual to fight this poison. Look what it's done to Lefty, he's an Oxy dependant dishpig at his wife's Chick Fil A franchise.

You know me, I like to stir the proverbial pot lol. But since you asked, Canucks probably should've taken Jagr and Brodeur (or Keith Tkachuk) in 1990 instead of Nedved and Antoski. Just sayin!!

...thanks to your generation fucking everything up our generations are just the results of your gernation's choices gramps
- NewYorkNuck

I have to agree with this. Also because of the “education system” in the last 4 decades.
Edit: I can’t believe I just agreed with Yorky

Six picks after Benning took Kole Lind.
- LeftCoaster

“Why isn’t anyone taking Kole Lind?”

Well Jim, he is slow, soft and has no pro translatable skills

Big game tonight.

Canucks get back on track, with a 4-1 victory.

Be nice for the boys to get back to. 500 hockey and gain some ground on the teams just above them

Vancouver Canucks top prospect rankings: No. 5 to No. 1

“Now, we’re into the true top prospects, the top five, which include a new No. 1 overall for the organization.

Among our top five: a deeply promising, young, athletic netminder who has already impressed in limited action at the NHL level; a raw project who is still trying to find consistency in North American professional hockey; a physical defender; a highly-skilled scoring winger coming off of a nightmare campaign; and a potential middle-six centre.

Relative to other perennial non-playoff teams, the Vancouver system remains both shallow and somewhat low-end. There’s work to be done in this area, particularly for a club that’s going to require cheap labour to reach their goals in the years to come
