Great stuff. Steen fit in seamlessly. Lauko has looked great, hope it’s not serious but it didn’t look good.

Couple of other tidbits from tonight, Quinnipiac (where Rod’s son plays) beat Ohio tonight which means the Mason Lohrei watch is officially on. From all accounts, this kid is NHL ready. Would not be at all surprised to see him join the big club within the next couple of days.

Also, Mike Riley went awkwardly into the boards tonight in Charlotte, and was knocked unconscious. Taken off on a stretcher. Earlier reports say that he is OK. Always scary to see/hear about that kind of stuff.

Lots to be excited about on the farm. Wait until you guys see Merkulov. Guy has a release like Pasta. He’s really come along way this season. Steen and Lauko obviously fit. Jack Ahcan is capable of called upon. Beecher has grown this season as well and is playing more to his size. Lysell is more of a longer term development curve it seems, but he’s showing flashes as well. They’ve got a guy Toporowski who is on an AHL deal but has been a standout and probably deserves a contract. Rookie goal tender Brandon Bussi has been spectacular this season as well.

And don’t forget about Chris Wagner, Marc McLaughlin, Mike Riley, Anton Stralman …. All down there as well.

All eyes on Lohrei right now though …

I think we only have 2 spots left for contracted players. Lohrei will get 1. Who gets the other?
