Now, I'll admit, I don't follow women's hockey at the lower levels much, but then again, I don't always have time to watch all the men's hockey, either. Now, the level of skill the ladies show at the National level, and the OLYMPIC level, with minimal hitting, with no fighting? It's FAST, EXCITING, and would no doubt wipe the floor against an entire team of "Good ol' tough guys" from the NHL, because they'd have no idea what to do.

It's a shame about Drouin. Seems like a nice guy, but just can't find his place in the game at the NHL level. Guy has smooth hands with the puck, but no consistency in his game.

it's safe to say Drouin would've been a healthy scratch had it not been for the never-ending injury list... besides, I don't think the situation has this huge negative impact on the team's culture and what they're trying to build, as you seem to be suggesting. it's pretty apparent the players have bought in MSL's concepts, and he seems to have a very solid connection with them, it's gonna take more than this to make it all crumble imho.
