I would say Mario and his almost 300 point 100 PiM season touches and surpasses that.

Seravalli on Miller:

Canucks were ready, willing and eager to move him at this deadline...I think ultimately the reason this deal didn't get done was on Pittsburgh's end.

Doesn't make much sense unless there are many many more other plans then.

From what I understand if the can get a C it becomes easier.

Also no 23 roster limit but stay within the cap.

With the Canucks papering down a few players, I think they are only allowed 1 more call up.

Feeling the Nucks are in tough tonight, Preds are on a heater and need to win, moral victory night, make em earn it, and play tough for the kid. I like this Silovs kid, seems to be a gamer .

Truth is the Q was inflated for stats, poor defence. Remember A.Daigle. Lol

Its already been established they are in win now mode and aiming for playoffs. After the hole they created in middle by trading Bo, it's very highly unlikely they are going to trade another top 6 C.

I've started like 19 replies and deleted them all. Waving my hands around, rubbing my head. Pet the dog a few times.

No way in hell is Bo Horvat going to be value to 8.5 mil co tract for 8 years, it wouldn't surprise me if he never cracks 30 goals again

It's so forward and backwards and side to side moment by moment with no actual plan if they trade Miller. Miller isn't the problem. OEL is.

The Q is where to mine later round picks. High picks always seem to come with risk.

Right now, they have Dries and Aman down the middle. How weak would it be if they traded Miller... A team isn't going to give up a top 6 C to acquire Miller unless he is sub par or underdeveloped. In that case, only Petey would be a top 6 C on the roster and a massive target for the opposition every game. As bad as this management team is, I doubt they are going to do that. It contradicts their direction.

This is how the rumor mill works... there is a leak that management answered one call about Miller(later confirmed by PA) and the maggots start making up one rumor after another and building up big narratives.

Plus as PA said, there was no actual offer for Miller. Nobody asked if there was an offer for Boeser though.

Probably no different than trading Bo or Hronek on the other way. If the offer is too good, you take it.

Yeah I read it, I was commenting that they had no choice with trading Bo
You infer management chose to create this hole at centre, I counter that they had no choice due to his demands

All I heard was teams wanted VAN to retain on Boeser, they wouldn't do that.

What does that have to do with the conversation?

And your point about him not scoring 30 again... why? Back to back just happened and he was on pace in the shortened season to make that again so that would be 3 in a row. He steadily improved his whole career so I really don't know what brand of glue you are huffing today but it must be damn good.

I told everyone they had to trade Bo when Miller and Boeser were signed. People thought otherwise... You are preaching up the wrong tree.

I have seen about 10 Sabres games this year, always entertaining. Should be a Solid team for years to come.
