Have you seen their goalies? I’d be shocked if they are still in it in a week or two

You have no faith in Sogaard and…

Who the (frank) is Kevin Mandolese?

I think a lot of people thought he was. Kouvula hasn't been great but Clutter even when healthy hasn't brought much the last two years.
- keaner17

While I agree that Clutterbuck hasn't been great, I don't think he has been as bad as most people here. IMO, if he's healthy and in playoff mode, his physical play will still help the team.

Yep, I agree with this. Also, certainly there's no downgrade subbing him in for Koivula!

I'm not sure how much more he has left in him. The effort will be there but he's been pretty banged up for a couple of seasons now.

Well if we make the playoffs hopefully he has enough to squeeze one more run out of him. He can be effective in the playoffs if he’s 100%. Not really sure what you do with Fasching though. That guy can’t lose a spot in the lineup he has done everything and above that was asked of him.

Fasching has been great. I would sit Bailey before I sat Fasching.

Based on the amount of time (and how effective) fasching was last game vs Engvall, I don’t think Lambert would scratch Fasching over him.

Agreed, although I think Engvall still has the opportunity to prove himself when he gets more used to the Isles' systems. Bailey is a totally known commodity.

Bailey has more points than Horvat in the last five games. I’m not saying this because I think Bailey is awesome I’m saying it because Horvat has to start putting it in the net again. We need that from right now.

Back to Bailey I would bet just about anything he’s not getting benched for anyone if we make the playoffs due to his experience and his production in the playoffs. We probably won’t see the playoff Bailey of the past but I would bet he’ll be given the opportunity.

That's the issue. Cal's value is 100% based on his ability to agitate with a gritty physical style. He's clearly lost a step over the past couple of years and seems incapable of holding up physically. While I agree he's an upgrade to Koivula, when Pageau returns, I would likely consider sitting Cal before...gasp...Bailey

Agreed, Engvall in a contract year seems to be dropping the ball a bit.

I agree too. Hopefully he figures it out soon. But if he doesn’t, we have Barzal and JGP coming back at some point and he may be the one of the players that sits. Likely Holmstrom too? I don’t think Fasching should. 27/14/13, 12/29/21, 11/44/20, 15/53/17 I think this is what it ends up once all healthy. Maybe not these exact lines but those are the forwards I think Lambert would go with

Bailey has indeed been noticeable of late in a good way. Hope he keeps it up.

Meanwhile, Detroit lost in regulation to the Bruins which helps the Isles ever so slightly. Now we have to hope for the Flyers to pick up their game and beat the Pens in regulation.

I like your lines. Lee has been great lately, and I would love to see him back with Horvat and Barzal, although he also looked good playing with Nelson and Palms.

Not that I've heard. When he got injured, they said he was out indefinitely with a lower body injury. I read at the time that, if he gets back at all this season, it won't be until the playoffs. We all hope obviously it's sooner, but I have no idea.

This team is so frustrating sometimes with giving up goals after scoring.
