I watch as little ESPN as possible, but it seems like she's been relegated to working between the benches and not calling games anymore

Thats unfortunate for the players within earshot

Pretty sure she called the Isles last game on ESPN+ before last night

She did because I told myself after that game I would never watch ESPN again.

Do you think they buy him out this summer?

She definitely has. It's the reason I've had to go out and get hearing aids

I'm glad I went to the game and I think they have two more home games on plus which means I'm going to at least 2 more games

Ethan Sears @ethan_sears
58s
On-ice numbers for Casey Cizikas and Hudson Fasching at 5-on-5 yesterday, per Natural Stat Trick:
10:45 TOI
2-0 goals for
8-0 high-danger chances
10-2 shots
9-4 scoring chances

Cizikas resurgence is most certainly reflecting in the W column

Fasching should be extended and Clutterbuck should never see the light of day in this lineup again, unless someone is injured.

I'm sure it will get done, if it's not already. Going to be an interesting offseason with Clutterbuck & Bailey.

Have to hope so on both accounts. Bringing back Cal was a bad idea from the start.

Team has some internal options that should help. If they can find another offensive player for the 2nd line, Islanders could be in real good shape.

The Isles are already light on prospects and draft picks, so I doubt they spend them on unloading those guys. Next season is the last for both of their contracts.

The only reason I know who Leah Hextall is is because her name trends on Twitter every time she calls a game on ESPN. Same as Katie Nolan with baseball. I only know of them or their names because of how irate everyone is on Twitter. I’m usually at work during games so I usually just have the game with no audio.

I heard that too chiefs…she definitely pronounced his name wrong (I’m off on Tuesdays). If you’re calling the game on TV, the least you can do is research the game in advance and get the head coach’s name pronounced correctly. Saying that, I didn’t have a huge issue with the in-game announcing. The between period “analysis” however was terrible. The media tries to push some narrative when it comes to this organization. It’s just…lazy.

Hextall and Buccigrass were awful. Would rather listen to Jack Edward's than that pair.

Buccigrass was much better back in the day before the ESPN “brand” was assimilated into his soul.

I have a feeling they move, or try to move, Pageau this summer.

I don't know if the plan is to keep Horvat at wing long-term and Pageau will have some value and if they can clear out his salary plus Bailey's (no easy task, I know) that'd afford them an extra $10M in cap space to play with

If they move Horvat to Center then It's like starting all over again trying to find someone to play with Barzal. I'm not against moving JGP but it's gotta be the right deal.

Can't stand him. He tries so hard to relate to the young crowd that it's actually cringe to listen to
