I read somewhere that Bailey played only 43 seconds of 5 on 5. I think that’s also a big contributor to the teams current run.

Dirty Chainz did make a brief appearance for that goal at least. I just wish one of the trainers would jab him with a shot of testosterone between periods. When he plays with grit he can be great....unfortunately Dirty Chainz comes around about as frequently as Christmas.

You have to give him credit though for accepting a tremendously diminished role with such class

Am I the only one who finds subban overtly irritating? I honestly can’t stand him.

Wasn't the word when he was on the trading block that he's "too much P.K." in regards to his personality? He seems like a nice guy, but I can see how he'd wear on you if you had to travel with him for 7+ months out of the year.

Yeah I mean he obviously scored a real important goal last night but there’s a reason he had that kind of 5 on 5 ice time.

It's all about winning. The Devils are not giving back those Cup wins regardless of many not liking the trap.

I couldn't possibly care any less if anyone anywhere whines about the Islanders being boring

Bailey was only a fight short of a Gordie Howe hat trick last night. (Don't expect miracles. ). He was +3 for the game. He likely played more 5 on 5 than you read.

Guessing by the facial reactions of some of his on air partners, I'm guessing they agree with you. He's pretty immature, constantly making faces (sometimes mockingly) when other commentators are speaking. I thought Messier was going to strangle him one night. It's ESPN so quality presentations clearly mean little to them, but I wonder how long they'll put up with him.

Run and gun does not work for the Islanders along with many teams as well. Islanders can use more offense but playing the Cappy and Doug way does not work. I wonder if these hockey people look at the Islanders and think the trap days of the Devils even though it's not the same system.

Run and gun works in the regular season if you have a lot of talent see the leafs. It does not work in the post season also see the leafs

He made contact inside the blueline and went right down lol. He's been a pro about being all over the lineup and in the box gotta give him credit there

Just watching the highlights now and caught Leah Hextall pronouncing Lane Lambert's name as Lane "Lamb-bear" before correcting herself

Ah, whoever it was. Still hilarious

That also was not Leah Hextall on the Ducks game. Not sure who it was.

I don't even see Leah scheduled to do any games this week. Did they quietly dispose of her?

I watch as little ESPN as possible, but it seems like she's been relegated to working between the benches and not calling games anymore
