I don't know. What if he said, "Victor has given us a ton of value at his position. We look forward to his next deal with us?"

And, when the "how does it feel to have your top two centers...." has been asked to the same man at least 7 times in the previous two days, and "what is is like to see the fans coming back and being excited..." has been asked 357 times in the past year, yeah asking a specific question about a specific player might be a little more interesting. I haven't heart a question about Joker. I haven't heard anything except knob slobbing about Sammy.

Yes but he's locked in as a second liner for the next undetermined amount of years and that's why theres no room to add players

18. Buffalo Sabres
Previous ranking: 18
Points percentage: 56.00%
Next seven days: vs. CGY (Feb. 11), @ LA (Feb. 13), @ ANA (Feb. 15)

Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen. One of the narratives around the Sabres this season has been the progress made by their youth movement and what it could mean for them going forward. Luukkonen falls into that conversation. He has given the Sabres a chance to win, which has helped them push back into the wild-card race while potentially showing he has made a breakthrough.

Funny, bit your expectations of young players is exceedingly high
Rather than blast the players, coaches and FO...maybe gage your expectations a bit and then look in the mirror when your expectations aren't met.

if he gets portillo and johnson to sign, it will be a big step for adams

Never for some.
They just keep moving the goal posts further out.

46 games 13 goals 7 assists. For carrier.
Not girgensons #'s

I would think he could bump peterka or put them into a healthy rotation with quinn and krebs

Trading a 28 year old vet for last year's late 1st rounder?

I think it's closer then you think

He gets an A+ for signing Botts players. No debating that.

His offseason acquisitions for the Sabres were Vinnie Hinny (bust)
Boosh (if the season ended now bust)
Comrie (see Boosh).

In season add of Jost - A
In season add of Clague - ehhh a C i guess

His drafts are as yet undetermined. Every one of us expected at least 20 goals and perhaps more from Quinn this year. He isn't on pace for 20.

- lacaprup

I don't consider Boosh a bust. He had a great beginning, then got hurt and played like poop for a bit. Been looking better lately.

Clauge was added in the offseason no?

Not sure anyone thought Quinn was going to pot 20. Look at his first year in every league and then the next. He takes time to acclimate.

A lot of them won't pan out. And just wait until our firsts are in the 15 and up range and opposed to top 10 every year
- sbroads24

You mean like last year?

2 (what look to be) steals at 16 and 28

I have blasted no one except the Buffalo Sabres pool reporters (and GR slightly).

Why do you interpret a question that isn't a blowjob as blasting the team?

Not sure anyone thought Quinn was going to pot 20.

- DirtyDan

Lol

This is just blatant denial. People were sure Jack Quinn was moving Victor Olofsson out of town last year. Do we really need to bring back old threads?

Clague was a waiver claim

Most think that Quinn and possibly Kulich will replace Olo. Most still do. Nobody said he was going to tear up the league this year.

20 might of been what people thought he "could" do but I don't think anyone (other than you) expected 20

Evereyone's favorite Casey Mittelstadt was player of the WJ tourney his draft year +1. Also not sure how Ostlund looks anything like a steal

There was no room for a significant forward add. Because Quinn and JJ were going to be solid top 9 contributors and never have struggles

He was offseason?

Yep. July. Still a C grade. Didnt we make a second waiver claim besides Jost?
