I wouldn't say no need, Bo Horvat is a very good C much better than Matthews actually (W masquerading as a C) going forward if I were given the option of tavares and matthews or tavares and horvat as my 1 2 C... would rather have Tavares and Horvat. The moment Matthews signs his "Richest NHL contract" don't be surprised to see him turn into a RW/LW..... Which is what goal scoring Centers switch to (surprise surprise steven stamkos and soon to be Mackinnon because his faceoffs stats are horrible) going to look really bad when his contract probably will be more than Nathan Mckinnon's playing wing all those years.

Also…. Rielly/ Holl pairing tonight 😳

If it were me……

Sandin Robertson and pick are in play

- mr.sir

What kind of pick? I take it he’s much better than Sandin and they’re going to have to retain $.

in that case wouldnt you just do the QO and then trade him?
or can you do that?

- senstroll

Can't keep waiting for Tampa and Boston to get worse.

Dubas HAS to do some tinkering before the TDL. If he could make 3 moves, I would like to see him:

Adding 3 players that hit, grind and have some snarl but CAN still actually play.

1. 2LW, a harder Bunting with a bit better hands. (Domi)
2. Swap Sandin with a bigger, tougher and bit better version of Sandin at LD. (Garikov(sp?), McCabe)
3. Utility Bottom 6 LW/RW with who can play, maybe PK and chuck the knuckles, not a Simmonds/Clifford. (Fredric in Boston type)

Bunting, Matthews, Marner
Domi, Tavares, Nylander
McMann, Kampf, Jarnkrok
Fredric-type, Holmberg, ZAR

Rielly, Brodie
McCabe/Garikov, Lily
Gio, Timmins
Benn

Samsonov
Murray

Just a little splash of don't (frank) with us we're here to win.

Agreed.

ZAR or Kerfoot are the guys coming out for me.

Mccman is growing on me.

I would assume if they brought in Timo, that means the end of Nylander.
- AdamFrench

not necessarily... Meier and Nylander couldn't both be in Toronto long term - but as someone mentioend on TSN radio over the past weekend - whomever acquires Meier could do it on a rental basis, and then deal him again before the RFA signing deadline or at the draft - after using him for the playoffs.
