I was never suggesting we trade Quinn or Peterka, only that it's foolish to assume Quinn can replace Vic's goals. Dude's going to more than double Quinns total this season.
Maybe in 3 season Quinn can replace Vic. - lacaprup
Now everyone loves Olo all of a sudden, people can't wait to move him now they love him. Just like Hinostrosa, people can't wait ti get rid of him but now that was on waivers if they Sabres didn't have him, people would be going after Adams because the Sabres didn't grab him. Only on Hockey buzz. |

$10M is crazy, but if you look at him as a remainder of this season and next small go for it move, does that change the perspective?
I'd really like to upgrade one or both of Cozens wings, at least short term until the forward prospects not in the NHL are ready to contribute.
We all know it's not an Adams move, and the acquisition cost may likely be prohibitive. - kingcong39
yeah in a vacuum it's cool until you jump into reality and it's very challenging to make work and justify.
Start with the defense. This offense will only get stronger, and we have the 4th most goals in the league. Our PDO is 1.004 so they're right where they should be. Our HDCA (high danger corsi against) is 9th highest. Bad. Get better defense.
Defense>Offense
Better defenders get more zone time for an extremely potent offense.

Wonder if Cabrera gets most of the Starts - Buff36
Hahaha my buddy and I were talking this same topic yesterday.
Is Hicks still on the roster?
Ultimately, it's LF, and I can live with almost anyone there as long as it's not Hicks.
We have the best rotation in baseball IMO and can mash with anybody.
Healthy DJ
Judge
Stanton
Good pitching
That's going to be the formula. I hope they can close games.

My position on Vic has been pretty consistent for 2 years now. I waivered at one point when Quinn looked like a hockey player and Vic was slumping, but I've pretty much been a Vic guy since the beginning of last year.
And, about 2 weeks ago I predicted he would go on a heater..... |

Its the typical fan trap, when a guy shows value they wont deal him but when he sucks he can go when he has no value.
HEs easily replaceable by what 3 guys in our system right now. |

The big ? is Vic part of your future, and how much are you willing to sign him at at 29 and for how long. This TDL could be especially if he stays hot a opportunity to get good value on him. |

No, Quinn isn't in Vic's league right now. Not even close. Quinn is on pace for 14 goals. Meanwhile, Vic is on pace for 38. 38. Let me say again 38. |

Hopefully he's close to 30 by the TDL, that's gotta be worth a 1st and a good D prospect |

Big game tonight. Why is it a big game? Because it's the next one. Ready to see Tage stick it to the Blues. 2 goals coming up. |

This is a legit question. Vic can play on ANY TEAM in the NHL. He also seems to love being a Sabre. He is freinds with Dahlin. I'd love to keep paying him the same #. He's only getting better so far.
I am certainly not trading him this season while I am in a playoff race. Who the hell trades goals off their team when they're 3 points out of a playoff spot? |

Quinn won't get more ice time because every night Dylan Cozens has to protect he and Peterka from getting caved in.
You're fighting a losing battle here. This is not about future Quinn. This is about rookie Quinn. He ain't a pimple on Vic's ass right now. |

youre acting like we arent getting anything in return. We can get back a solid player and a high end D man.
Im not saying I dont like him. Im just a realist who knows you can only trade a guy when they have value. |

This could very well be true. They clearly abandoned him. If I were Meatballs, I'd find every bad thing St. Louis media ever said about Tage and paste it in his locker.

Ill also admit, its easy to think these things "video game style"
I dont want to negatively effect the room with an addition or subtraction. |

What would you give up for timo Meir ?
I think this has a 100% chance of not happening
Such a non sabres move - Anderdog
Nothing. I don’t want him. He will cost too much money and break up the band

To me, we have a great, not good, great locker room. I've heard way too many players, ex players, and media say so to not believe it. We also have way too many picks and forward prospects to have to subtract anything off of the NHL roster to add a very good player at D or F. |
