Takes defensemen 200+ games all the time to become even decent in the NHL. Especially when they start their career at 19 and probably shouldn't have. - DirtyDan
you still have made no case to make him a fixture moving forward
after over 200 games as a sabre, Joker looks no better than Taylor Fedun |

I must be the only poster that doesn't want chickenrun.
I'm under the im8that our (2) 1OA's are/ will be good enough to cover for lesser defenseman.
I have an interal salary structure that I developed with ion

I think the recent development that says a lot about our future is that we are winning while rolling 4 lines and all three defense pairs. For a while there we were really relying on a handful of guys to get us through. |

You are not the only one sir, especially at the king's ransom Arizona is asking.
I'd rather strengthen a strength with adding someone like Timo Meier. |

I think a lot of the desire to get chicken man is our lack of D prospects and al the quality prospects we have up front
literally if johnson walks he have nothing in the pipeline for D |

Kulich a 2 and a 3 for Meier.
Iād do that. - ImThatGuy
Don't want to lose Kulich.
I'd be ok with Rosen going though.

No Boss you are not, don't think he's a good fit. Good hockey player just isn't the best on his offside. |

Girgs alone should secure Meier |

Slumpbuster should get a chicken man Jersey.
I worked out a reasonable % split between positions just yesterday with uncle ion.
I now feel like I wasted a whole day on hockeybuzz.
Am I the only one that feels this way sir?

But that wasn't the argument?
You were saying Adams signs guys to contracts above their pay grade just to keep em.
I disagree with Hino being overpaid and paying 30 year old's minimum dollars instead of the 23 year old 2nd round guy... But you do you
Just a bad take Homie |

We can get Meier ($9.5m) and a solid 2RhD ($6.5m) for Power's partner.
But, the cost of doing so falls on Girgs, Okposo, Olofsson all moved out and injecting the younger players on ELC's.
Would you do it? |

What makes me nervous, is trading away the guys this staff have drafted . I finally have faith in them, things are going pretty smoothly.
Everyone wants to make the playoffs, but those ecl's are gonna be important to maintain when were good.
Gonna be paying some big $ if guys keep up their paces.

Okay,
cap floor
Young kids
Is $500,000-$1,000,000 really an overpayment? Especially when you have **checks notes** 43 million in cap space lol |

I think the money given to joker and bryson could have been better used to fix our D
you disagree
nothing left to say unless you want to talk about how they wil never pick a goalie in the 2nd rd

You brought up 2 30+ year olds doing nothing significant on their teams.
They wouldnt fix our back-end |

They could play him 3rd pairing and you would have a stud on all 3 defensive lines.
26-23
25-10/46
Chychrun-Clague
Ideally you would have each pairing getting around 20 minutes but gotta think Dahlin is getting special teams time and playing more. No need to do the Ristolainen 30 minutes a night tactic |

I'm gonna speak for myself on this one.
I really think all 3 guys are part of the vibes this season.
I wouldn't really do anything. Especially pay for a high end defenseman. Power is gonna be able to cover up mistakes for a regular average dude. Very soon.
I agree with 39, if we could land meier and have a solid handshake resigning him. You need to kick tires.
I also like connor Murphy with salary retained.
Adam's isnt gonna make a huge splash.... |
