For me, I think Kulich and Savoie are non-starters in any trade unless you could get back a young star player that has affordable term. I don't think such a player exists. |

Something occurred to me while watching the game last night. Is it possible that Adams actually nailed the offseason? At different times throughout this season we all thought that we were done with multiple players on this team. And once again we were shown that patience is so important with a young team. |

Sure that’s great in a world where you are the only team trying to acquire a player.
The Sabres are bidding against many teams. I assume AZ wants to move him to the east.
IMO the Leafs are probably hard after Chiqorin |

If I had to guess, the Raiders game will be the London game. If not, I think it would be Tampa Bay. Denver and the Giants were over there this past year. I'm guessing Dallas at Bills will be nationally televised somewhere so they won't move that. Jacksonville already has their annual home game at Wembley, and they don't usually do division games over there. That leaves Las Vegas and Tampa Bay. - buffalofan19
Totally agree Buff. You're always locked in on these things. |

Sure, but everyone has a point they won't cross. That's why a lot of us want Connor Murphy.

why?? what has either of those players done in the NHL? Nada zip, zero zilch.... With Chick-Run you get a top 4, 24 year old d-man that not only makes your Defense better but he can also get you 40-50 points from the back end..
I would trade my 1st, Savoie and or Kulich, Portillo, Johnson and one of Mittle-shat or VO.
again, we are the youngest team in the NHL and the Highest scoring team without Savoie or Kulich.. |

Connor Murphys cost to acquire to value added will be awful IMO.
RD go for kings ransom (see Risto)
Are we good with trading a Risto package for Murphy? |

Great win last night, and great week so far. My only issue is, every time I look at this thread I am drawn to the pic on page 13 and linger there for a few moments while I try to collect my thoughts...then I promptly forget what I was thinking. My goodness. |

Is Power going to RD or is Chychrun. He isn't the best on his offside. |

Because I think both of them are going to be stars. There has to be a way to get it done with Rosen, Ostlund, 1sts, etc.

Risto was a name. Apparently we had been turning down fantastic trade offers for him for years. Murphy isn't nearly of that pedigree. He would cost us our highest second and one our two of our second-tier prospects.

Joker has played over 200 games now as a sabre
he is what he is
a blah guy that should be playing 15 minutes a night
doesn't hit
doesn't clear the front of the net
doesn't block shots
bad outlet pass
doesn't put up points
bad on pk
am I missing something? - homiedclown
Takes defensemen 200+ games all the time to become even decent in the NHL. Especially when they start their career at 19 and probably shouldn't have. |

Why would we want to send him back? We got into trouble earlier in the year when injuries hit.
(I can't believe I just typed that about Lybushkin)
Kane and Toews will go at the deadline, if at all. The teams acquring them will almost certainly have to send back celery. I would also expect them to weaponize their cap space.

I think last night may have been there best game of the year. Pure domination. I think they are finding the happy medium between playing free and easy on offense but being defensively responsible.
I also don't get the hate for Okposo and Girgensons. Sure, they aren't filling the net - most 4th lines don't. Every team needs a few good vets and they fit that bill. Should they be here beyond next year? No, of course not - we will have better options. But that line is playing really well right now. - Slump Buster

I really, really, REALLY want the Sabres to come out and announce that we have traded our #1, Ryan Johnson, Erik Portillo and Mittle-shat for
JAKOB CHYCHRUN - hehateme
Good time to rip this team apart while on a 7 game winning streak.
Havent played good hockey in a dozen years, let's trade mitts. |

Trying to find a contract comp to Meier.
tkachuk and kucherov at 9.5 are significantly better players. Same with Kaprizov at 9. How about Kevin Fiala? That could be close. Winger, similar points/career/age, cap hit of ~7.9. - TheSabresTaco
Rumor is Timo is looking for at least $9M per on his next deal. |

I’d be willing to bet that he’s going to cost a lot more.
All the Chicago GM has to do is send these two images out.
Edit - images won’t post not going to bother deleting I’ll sum it up
Risto war - 1%
Murphy war - 80% |

You never know, they might get a low first. The other problem with Murphy is that he has a lot of term left. Some teams like that, other teams only want a rental because they already have cap issues.
