Any reason why the deadline is as late as it is this year?
And to the previous comment... I’m ok with having a deadline. Allows players and teams to get up to speed and chemistry. I wonder if some teams would prefer to spend the money to have the player for that extra month or 2 in order to gain that cohesiveness and figure out where he fits.
