Exactly right UIF! Lou picked Lane and did not provide him a good enough roster imo. Time for Lou to take responsibility.

This is correct. Lameriello took ownership of this season when he shipped Trotz out and didn’t do anything with the roster besides Romanov.

Noah Dobson first skater off for #Isles. Doesn’t seem like he’s playing tonight.

It did not take a Carnac to see there were issues with this roster for a couple of seasons.

Yea that ain't happening

19th in the league right now and they'd have to keep dropping quite a bit to even have a chance at winning the lottery and moving up to #1. I believe the new rules are that you can only move up 10 spots, so they'd have to finish as the 11th worst team (or worse) to have a shot. And it'd be a real small percentage chance of winning even then

Last year SJ was in the 11 spot and the odds of winning were 3%

Agreed. Not sure what the hesitation was for with making some changes. I’m sure there were some moves he wanted to make but couldn’t due to salary, etc. but the bottom line is you have to find a way. If you truly were comfortable with this group then that’s a problem in itself being that his evaluation of the roster was completely a skewed. Either way you slice it it’s on him.

I have faith that this team can suck a lot more then you think. We’re far from a bottom yet imo. Tonight will probably change your mind at least a little bit

The Wolfpack was right again. Lou added to some of the Cap issues. I'm not sure if Lou saw the Leafs not winning anything with all the talent and figured he did not need it with the Islanders?

Gary is a big Islanders fan. Gary will make it happen and I'll talk to Gary like I did with Ledecky.

Barzal has a great shot the issue is he doesn't use it enough or drive the net
- Upstate_isles

My opinion on him is that he tends to take what the opponent gives him more often than trying to impose his will onto them. Path of least resistance type thing. Which is fine on breakdowns, but if the opponent is intentionally funneling you into a turnover, well....

Lou knows what he wants and how he wants his teams assembled at this point in his career. This is his team there were opportunities to make moves we just didn’t.
