Brutal paly by Barzal and brutal blowing a 3 goal lead. Games like this and team is making the decision to sell easy.

Absolutely disgusting. When your 3rd and 4th lines are getting the most minutes in a tie must win game it tells a lot.

Yeah top 6 played like a bunch of pussies who could care less. I’m getting really tired of this poop.

Even Burke said it. Changed the game . No push back and momentum just swung.

Outside the 4th line, this team has never been tough and Matt is not as tough as he was.

Top 6 has been an issue for years and some do not want to recognize it.

And once again a teammate is injured (albeit temporarily) on a questionable hit and not a single player even got in Ovie's face. This is a disturbing pattern

Its horrendous he just gives up like he did on the goal but everyone and their mother knows he’s just gonna skate around the ice when it’s 3-on-3. He’s not surrounded by enough offensive talent and he lets his frustration bleed into his game. Couldn’t be bothered the entire night.

It's nice that Hudson Fasching showed up, played his butt off, and was maybe the best player on the ice for the Isles. But...Hudson Fasching shouldn't be the best player on the ice for the Isles.

Yep. We've seen players on other teams start fights with Isles over hits that were way less questionable than that one just to send a message. When there was absolutely no response other than to let up two goals in a row, it was pretty clear where that game was heading.

No excuse on that play, but Barzal does play like he is frustrated. Barzal is a fine talent, but it does not mean he still does not need help. It's been musical wings for Barzal and that is not going to lead to success. Islanders need a legit 1st line already. A strong 1st line is critical and it opens up the 2nd line and take pressure off the rest of the team.

This team plays like they know most of them are safe from being moved because of their contracts. It's a huge problem when the team gets stuck because of these contracts.

I have to be honest that was Barzal’s worst game in a hell of a long time. It was just bad. No good driving plays at all.
It looked like he was laboring and that knee tweak was bugging him.
Might want to keep him out until he’s ready to go. Not making excuses for him but he was plain awful.

Notice there was no physical response to the hits that laid out Pelech, Palmieri and Holmstrim either. That's a major problem for a team that is supposedly so tight knit.

This team has too much of the same Bailey soft personality types. Nelson is a good player but is soft. They have no player that can rock the boat a little.

They haven't rewarded eachother. We've always heard how tight knit this team is yet we've seen multiple players injured by questionable hits and no one stepped up to defend them once. They seem to fade as soon as teams challenge them physically. They constantly come out flat as well. Talent is our number one problem, but we also seem to have some other issues

Lack of talent is a huge issue and it looks like lack of leadership and lousy vets. Sorry schwein but what is our captain doing?
