How is this team struggling? We added Romanov this offseason.

Looks like I'm going to have to go to another Islander game just to talk to Ledecky.

Mayfield seems to be regressing to me. Turns the puck over a lot in defensive zone with soft clear attempts and passes ups the wall. And a ton of dumb penalties lately.

Unfortunately I think those are a few things Mayfield has always been guilty off. Weak clears along the boards have plagued him for several years now. Additionally, he's never been a high IQ player. He's a good bargain, physical dman who occasionally surprises with a nice offensive play. The moment he goes from his low salary to a moderate one, he will no longer be worth the price

I agree with this. Seems to be more glaring lately but maybe it’s the entire team and for some reason I’m picking up on his flaws.

He's an extremely hard worker, I'll give him that. As a third pairing guy at around $1.2m he's a good value but after this contract I think his price tag will probably surpass his value. Wotherspoon may have shown he can fill some of that role and would come cheap

It was an interesting debate whether to trade Varly or not this past offseason. I'm not sure he can be moved this deadline if needed?
