Watched bits of the Rangers/Blues game last night. The Blues are an incredibly bad team. Really got the impression they were trying to lose at times. Even against an opponent like that the Rangers still had a tough time closing them out. I assume we’ll be facing Greiss tonight.

St. Louis needs to lose the blue collar game, it worked to win cup but needs to change now.

Nathan MacKinnon will miss time, Jared Bednar says on Altitude. The team doesn’t yet know how much.

Oofa

I love the Avalanche, if I had a "second favorite" team it'd probably be them, but I do not feel bad for them

Why the Avalanche, if I may ask?

I guess I'd go with the Oilers as second favorite. For one, they're sort of "Islanders West" with the way things have gone for them over the past couple of decades and the way they've been run. And also, this season, I've watched more of their games than any other team -- besides the Isles -- because it can be pure entertaining chaos on any given night. They could go up 4-0 or down 4-0 and you still have no idea who's going to win.

I've always liked them since I was a kid. Loved Sakic/Forsberg/Blake/Foote/Roy/Hejduk/Tanguay etc...

I still think the Sakic/Bourque Cup handoff was one of the coolest things in recent NHL history

They've just always been a fun team to watch play for the most part

Fair enough.

And here I thought it was because that’s where Parenteau played after he left the Isles.

Ain’t this the truth.

Would've been nice if they could've beat Washington last night. Instead they made them look like the 09/10 Capitals.

Yeah I guess the flip side of my analysis is the Oilers have been disappointing Isles fans since 1984

The only teams I kind of root for other than Islanders are the ones who there is no history against the Isles that upsets me.... so Arizona and Seattle. Then it becomes the lesser of 2 evils per game.

Cal Clutterbuck will not play tonight, per Lane Lambert. Kyle Palmieri is skating on his own. #Isles

I’ll be honest. Had to google that one.
