It was fun to watch from an offensive standpoint but that’s not a sustainable way of playing at the NHL level. Gotta tighten up defensively. They’ve really surprised me this year with how well they’re doing, in a good way!

Agreeing it is not sustainable playing 80’s style pond hockey. It has been creeping in over the last few games. The same issues as last year getting out of our own zone, losing board battles in our own end. Bad pinching etc. The better offence and depth has covered it well but cant expect to keep doing that. What bothers me is the coach not cracking the whip some and letting the bad habits creep back in. I give the players more credit than Hak for the wins and points. Jones was red hot but last couple has looked like he is cooling off with rebounds and out of position some. Gru is well, Gru and just coming back too.

Banking the points though is huge as is being right on Vegas herls and in 2nd. Now its keeping themselves there.

Just need to tighten it back up.

Entertaining game to watch, Just missing the 150 or so penalty minutes you may have seen in the 80s with a similar score.

Kraken VS Caps tonight

Need to be on the ball tonight defensively, keep Ovi in check

Damn 2-0 after 1st, Gru beaten. And one a PP tally too. C'mon guys!

Halfway through 2nd and outshot 6-1. Not our night here clearly

FINALLY!!! BOOM! Schwartz on the PP makes it 2-1

Found the groove, outshooting them and getting to work but still trailing 2-1 after 40

17:33 and Gourde ties it up!!!! Yes!!!

7 seconds Beniers with the winner from Burakovsky!!!!! Thats Kraken Hockey Baby!!!! Pull out the win!!!! Whoooooo!!!!

Thank Christ this franchise is more likeable than Vegas. Makes this early success somewhat tolerable.

Taking on Florida. Knight vs Gru in net.

And Florida 1st goal was garbage. How that isnt goalie interference is beyond me

And Panthers get the 2nd right after.

Down 3-1 and Eberle leading the push but stymied.

4-1 Florida.

This is just not going well at all tonight on a depleted Florida team.

Aaaaand 5-1. PPG as Panthers just burying the Kraken.

Farewell and Adieu to you fair spanish ladies! 😭🤬🤦‍♂️

The first goal, Grubauer initiated the contact outside of the crease by sliding in front of the Panther (who was veering away from the crease as he should have done). Grubauer took himself out of the play. There’s no way that should’ve been interference.
I guess it’s always a coin flip with what is or isn’t goalie interference, but that wasn’t the best coach’s challenge for Seattle to make. Grubauer played it horribly, went for the poke check (I guess) on the centering pass, didn’t get the puck and slid way out of position/his net doing so.

Knight stole the show last night. Could have very easily been a much closer score.

Knight was fantastic.

Gru did slide out with the initial play but Staal, looking or not, literally fell on him preventing him from any chance of playing his position. For me that was interference. Problem is its subjective, its too dicey and 50/50 with the league. I didnt mind that challenge by Hak there. And I hate Hak. It really didnt matter either way. 3/4 on the PP was all the Panthers needed behind Knights great game.

Panthers played a hell of a game, and honestly Seattle should have made it closer but really they have been trending towards losses lately and getting sloppy. They’ve just managed to win and pull it off. Need to tighten their game back up and pay more attention to the details.

Yes, but the contact was all on Grubauer. Staal only fell over Gru because Gru slid right into him. What else was Staal supposed to do, he was trying to avoid the goalie.

Wright is recalled off his conditioning stint. 4 goals in 5 games. Montreal coming up. Now the question is does Hak shake things up post loss and slipping play and actually play him.

And Kraken fire it out for delay of game. Not good at all. Need to kill this and not let the Habs add to the lead

Dear god the tsn broadcast team…. 🤯🤮🤮🤮 Need the Roots feed dammit.

Just not a lot of control in the Kraken game. Just dont seem in sync really.

Aaaaand Schwartz takes a bad hooking penalty 😖. Whooo!! Stupid interference penalty and Habs negate their PP.

4 on 4 and just ugly. Jones hung right out to dry. 4-1 Habs 😭🤮🤮🤮

Boom!!! McCann strikes!!!!! Huge tip right before the buzzer and its 4-2. Kraken have some life going to the 3rd.

Oh yeah. Nice to get that spark. Now they need to build off it. The defensive coverage past 3ish games has not been good. Need to really tighten it up.

Yeah he got good minutes in the A and built up some confidence. Looking like Francis was right. Just need Hak to get him out there. Good call though on having Bjorkstrand with him.

Huge start to the 3rd. McCann just missed then Wright sprining Gourde and all over putting pressure on the Habs.

Now THAT looked more like the Kraken on their win streak.

McCann again after a pair of icings. Just havent beaten Allen again.

Fast pace to the period. Not a lot of stops. Seattle still pressing. Upping the pace and physicality some.

9 min. Man we need a goal bad here.

Another delay of game puck over the glass penalty. Damn. Time running out too.

Damn. Borgen takes a shot off the head. Up and headed right to the dressing room. Hopefully ok there.

No chance even late with Jones pulled. Outshot the Habs but just couldnt get things done.

Wright made 3rd star.

First NHL goal, 11:12 icetime. 3/8 FO. 3 shots and a block. Had some dangerous and productive shifts there.

I am hoping. Know it seems set he will be off to the WJC but after is the question. I think if he can get in the lineup and get 10+ min a game he will be fine. I think Francis was right there. The thing is will Hak play him? I cant remember the last time there was such a disconnect between GM and coach.

Gru getting the start in net. And no Schwartz who is put with an UBI. As expected Wright loaned as expected to Canada for WJC.

And losing streak hits 3

Not great but wasn’t tgat bad a game. Gru kept them in it. Larsson got the early first goal, they just couldnt build on it and hold the Caps off.

Need to get back on track here. Can’t afford a long losing streak and the team is too good for such.

Big Rig in a hearing today for illegal check to the head on Caps Alexeyev too
