What is everyone's opinion of Poehling? The guy has a lot of speed and his ceiling is probably about met, but i think he gels in well within the 4th line.
- SuperHenderson13
Perfectly fine 4th liner. Love his speed and work ethic. My fear is that management will see him as a suitable Blue replacement which he is not. 2nd year in a row that the PK numbers show how valuable Teddy is. Last year I believe we were 2nd on the PK when he broke his jaw and about 10th when he returned. This year the PK was atrocious until he entered the lineup, and near perfect since then.

You watched the whole game?

Sully doesnt even watch the shootouts hahah...they're a fn farce...cant blame him....

"Also, in an interesting twist, coach Mike Sullivan admitted he doesn’t watch the shootouts. He listens for the crowd reaction and watches the video later.

“So I don’t usually watch the guys when they’re going down (the ice). I watch it when I go back to my office, after the fact, on video,” said Sullivan. “I just listen to the crowd. I’ve always been like that since I’ve been the coach of the Penguins, so I didn’t really get a chance to see (Malkin) live.”

Just came across this on Pensburgh. While I dont usually put a load of stock in these comparisons I do find the Pens info here interesting. Their 5 on 5 D is now middle of the pack when it was pretty much dead last overall in all categories 2 to 3 weeks ago...which means they've been one of the best the past 3 weeks.

I still like a shootout over a tie. If they added a few extra minutes on the 3v3, they'd probably end the shoot outs for the most part. I doubt the NHL would want to do it.

Sully not watching the shootouts is quite funny.

If every game has a winner and a loser they just need to do away with the loser pt. It makes no sense to water the game down with circus 3-3 and celebrity shots and then still hand out loser pts.

What an outstanding period all around. After the opening flurry, the shots were 15-2 for the Pens.

I just don't see the problem with ties and two teams, who battled hard and evenly but couldnt get it done, get a point each. I don't think a team that loses in any way should get a point.

Flyers are certainly a well balanced team...only 3-0 and 15 of their 18 skaters are a minus. That's hard to do lol

im hoping this flyers team simply does not have the horses to score 4 unanswered regardless of how the pens play, but man it would have been nice to see a good PP there. no pressure, just show a willingness to shoot. perfect tic tac toe tap in or bust.

Even with Petry added, Letang is still the problem. He now insists on playing down low forcing one of Sid/Geno/Jake to play up high...not the optimal spot for any of them.

And holy poop. 4th line with 3 goals now.
