He was on a line for the most part last night with Brock and Bailey.. who never forcheck. This is usually my point.. when the other team has the puck there are guys who go after them and pressure them.. Why don't you guys see this? How many times do guys like Beau, Clutter, Casey, and Parise pressure guys into making a mistake that keeps the puck in the O-zone. Do you guys only see goals? A huge part of this teams success is forechecking, pressure, and team defense. when they don't do this they stink..
You hear Torts interview the other day? It's a huge part of hockey.. when your team isn't doing it they suck.
"We suck, We are Not forechecking at all.. We suck!"

I don’t think there’s anyone on here that doesn’t appreciate the fact that forechecking effectively is an extremely important part of the game. I say that with or without said player scoring. I just don’t think Beau is as effective at doing it as much as you do. I see him skate into the boards at high speed where the puck is which is great then more often then not see the opposing team come out with the puck which isn’t. How do you not see this? Are you not watching the games? Do you just like players that skate around at high speeds aimlessly without the puck? - Cptmjl
YOu say that and then constantly say.. "HE was invisible last night" when he doesn't score a goal. the argument has not been... "He's a bottom 6 forward" .. the argument has been you all want him traded for an "upgrade". My argument has always been he is one of the guys who is FAST and works every shift and he's only 25 and has averaged close to 20 goals a year. That is NOT someone I want to give up on an trade.
Imagine thinking nobody sees that but you. How many times has everybody said on here how he is all over the place and is one of the few guys with wheels who forechecks. AGAIN for him to be an effective top 6 winger he has to get on the scoresheet a lot more then he does. That's why I said the other day on a deeper team he is a bottom 6 forward. A very good bottom 6 forward. Nobody is disputing this. The debate is whether or not he is top 6 and so far the answer is probably no - Vukota
I’m totally for throwing Beau on with Barzal also. Said it earlier and I’ll say it again. - Cptmjl
Lane has done that a few times and the result was very good. I think he did it in away games just to screw up the other team's matchup on Barzal, but I am hoping he sees how well it was working.

I challenge you to find one post where I said that this season. Hell if you can find two I would be doubly impressed. If I say it “constantly” it shouldn’t be a difficult task.
Also, Beau has never reached the lofty expectations of a 40 point season. Broke 20 goals exactly once. Can he score 25? I sure hope so. I’m rooting for the kid. He can put it all together but that certainly doesn’t mean he will. I don’t hate him. BUT if there’s a better option and if he’s part of a trade to bring in that better option sign me up. That’s really it. Jesus man you have a man crush on this kid
Hey we agree on something in reference to Beau. I’m all for him playing with Barzal. He found probably his best success playing with him. He has the wheels to keep up with him and he’s not doing a whole helluva lot where he is now. Hopefully lambert does it and the kid responds.
I’m really starting to believe you just come on here, don’t read any earlier posts, and throw out an opinion that’s based on nothing. I’m perceived as the most critical of Beau. I say one thing(anything at any time) that is based on watching the kid play and to you and one other poster that means I hate the kid. I could say the same thing at any given moment about any other player on the Islanders that will go unnoticed or ignored but if I type beau’s name based on an observation it of course means I hate Beau. Everyone, including myself, constantly notes that the kid is skating out there. I just don’t feel he’s effective most of the time. That’s it.

You are certainly not the MOST critical of Beau. I would put you close to actually supportive of him in fact. Or at least always hoping he does well. I think a lot of times I argue with a miliion morons on Twitter and then come on here fired up.

Ahhh. I’ll never understand why Twitter gets people riled up. It’s the biggest distributor of BS on the planet.

The past two days of your Beauner is a result of me catching the game late, and half watching the third period. I either missed every shift he played, or he wasn't doing anything while I was watching that stuck out to me. I was simply stating that I hadn't noticed him; because I hadn't. Frankly I was saying it kind of sarcastically, in hopes that he would score a goal. Which he did. I hope he goes on a tear. For the record, I like Beau. Just not as much as you.
