People on Sabres Twitter (not really on here) who like to defend Peyton Krebs and to a lesser extent Jack Quinn, and there non existent production, seem to want to run a hate campaign on Mittelstadt and put all of the non productive middle six blame on him.

Listened to Riv kill the team in yesterday's podcast. He likes Mitts and just went on an epic rant about VO. Guess I'm open to the idea that he has the wrong guys to play with. Mitts is a soft player as well, so finding the right linemates for him means acquiring both of those guys.

Decision is clear so far: Time for a forward upgrade.

If they can upgrade by moving him, by all means do it. I just find it funny that he is complained about constantly while guys like Hinostroza and Krebs can go 1/4 seasons with no goals. But hey, those are Adams guys.

The problem with Mittelstadt isn't so much his production on its own. It's that in terms of the ability to move the needle, he and Cozens are about the same, even though they have different skill sets. If you're going to build a team to roll three lines, you need someone better than Cozens to make it work. Mittelstadt just isn't it.

Clague has produced more points per 60 then Casey at even strength, and it's not like Casey hasn't been given ample ice time.
