The most "welcoming, inclusive and equitable" ones are also the quickest to cancel you if you don't lock step agree with everything they think and feel. The irony. - TheHank

I am just so sick of not being able to say anything these days.
Pretty soon “idiot” and “dumbass” will be slurs and we won’t be allowed to say them.
I already can’t say anything without someone being driggered.
This culture is toxic. The social contract is going to collapse. - BeadyEyedDouche

looking at the stats of a few sabres goalie prospects
seems levi and portillo are posting numbers that are much worse than last season |

“Not long ago, though, the Devils were in a similar position to the Sabres. A year ago, New Jersey had the youngest roster in the NHL. The Devils have missed the playoffs for four straight seasons and haven’t topped 72 points in any of those years. Yet right now, they look like one of the best teams in the NHL.”
“You look at the Sabres team and you look at a group that’s a lot like us,” Ruff said before the game. “All of a sudden they’re just going to find the right groove. It could be weeks away. It could be a month away. It could be tomorrow. Maybe the two games they’ve won right now is the stepping stone. But it’s a young group with a lot of creativity. If you have a team that’s scoring 13 goals in two games, you’re doing a lot of good things.”

My biggest fear is that the Sabres’ big move this offseason is Patty Kane, he is already declining pretty rapidly this season.

Portillo is on a much worse team. Last year he was on an allstar team |

Detroit is 3rd in the division.
Currently ahead of Tampa and Florida.
Remember when we couldn’t make any moves because we had to “wait out” Boston and Tampa? |

There not doing anything. They have redundant players, time to move the chains |

Have to think the results of JB's version of leveraging cap space and spending big on staff + Roch have had a big impact on their thinking. Small market approach atm. Will they snap out of it? Is KA the right guy if they do?

Guess we will find out. I mean 3/4 of this team has been here for 2 or 3yrs, they know what they are and they have alot of the same skill sets. They need to change that. Krebs could be a waste because they don't have the right Linemates for him. |

Levi still putting up really good numbers though
And i don’t think the issue with Portillo is all on him- that Michigan roster was gutted by big time talents leaving to go pro |

For like another two weeks tops lol
We also not gonna talk about how the Red Wings are in year 4 of the Yzerplan and just made their moves this offseason ?
What’s Adams doing any differently that Yzerman didn’t do in years 1-3 in Detroit ?

Good thing they didn't listen to this nonsense with Tage. By that logic you've seen enough when players reach age 22 |

So Mitts Olofsson Bryson Joker, basically Girgensons Okposo Asplund aren't redundant. They all could be replaced right now. Funny didn't bring up anyone's age. |

If Tage Thompson is Josh Allen, then Casey Mittelstadt is Sam Darnold.
Sooner or later you have a large enough sample size where you have to pull the plug.
Krebs should not be getting benched for Mittelstadt when the guy has 4 even strength points in 21 games and has terrible defensive metrics.

They’re not gonna bench Mittelstadt. He plays both special teams.
I know Peyton Krebs plays on the 4th line and no one has ever scored a goal on a 4th line, but maybe Krebs should try and be the first to do it |

Far from a Detroit expert, but quick look shows a lot more activity and he turned over the majority of his roster. May be some similarities in the approach, but he's a lot more aggressive about it.

Kulich with another PP goal. Can't wait until he replaces VO. |

Was hired within a month before his first draft and picked Zadina which was a boo boo but he’s on the roster.
His first regular season there they finished dead last, slipped to 4 and drafted Raymond.
Next year finished bottom 6 and drafted Seider.
This past year finished bottom 8 again and drafted Kasper.
His aggressive moves came this offseason, year 4.
He did make the Mantha for Vrana deal which would have worked out for him if the guy didn’t have a drinking problem.
So if Adams makes a big deadline deal this year and follows up with finally spending some money this offseason he is following the “Yzerplan” to a tee |
