Lots of Interest in Timo Meier.
Go and get him over Karlsson ... nvm hes a rental - DirtyDan
He's not a rental. He's an RFA, but he only has one season to go after this before becoming a UFA. |

One thing that’s been driving me nuts is Adam’s constantly reminding everyone that he’s only looking for trades that will help Sabres now and in the future. Ok, keep preparing for the future. I guess he better hope he’s still here with that mindset. |

He fought (kinda) on one of his first shifts
I’m sure that made some here happy - jdfitz77
Sure did. Sad it was only our first fight of the year but I'll take it. |

Not sure how a 5th for Bear wouldn't of helped now(when we had injuries)
Hes gotta go on the offensive at some point. Cant sit around with your hands in your pockets and expect to get better.

What are people giving up for Meier,
Probably like a 1st, B prospect and a bottom 6 player? |

Nothing, and here's why: His qualifying offer after this season is $10M, which means he could elect to go to arbitration and take his $10M for next season straight to free agency. It also means it would likely need to be a giant deal offered to him to get him to accept it.
That's a frightening proposition. |

All for a guy that is reasonably skilled but had a big year last year. I get it he is young at 26 but that’s a scary high number for a player like him with a cap in place |

Quinn was excellent last night. He’s going to be very solid in every facet.
My big question is whether he’s durable or not - sbroads24
Remains to be seen, always seems to be something. |

Ill need 3 month ban after this.
1 goal in 14 games for a sniper. 90% of the time he has looked lost or behind the play. I think he needs more seasoning. Would do him good.
If we had a stronger/better team to help him here i would say let him get his growing pains behind him. - ZiggyBuff
When your page doesn't load tomorrow, you'll know why.
I'm just kidding of course, but agree to disagree. His offensive impact alone suggests he's getting it and the points will come. |

Was questioning him early, even though his analytics looked good. When he played well with Mitts + VO, on a line that seemed like it should get shelled, I changed my tune. I'd keep that second line together all season. Lot to like there. |

Apparently goals are more important than hitting.

He was impressive yesterday. I will be really impressed to see yesterday's team tonight against St. Louis. They're on a heater. If we beat them tonight, that's a legit win. They've not allowed more than 3 on their 7 game win streak. ROR seems to be slowly finding his game. I hope Tage eats him up tonight. |

stone makes 9.5 per and 3 and a half years older
it would be worth kicking the can if we did not have skinner under contract for 4 3/4 more years |

On some plays it 1H = 1G
The accepted average is something like; G(pi squared) = H |

His salary this year is 10m, so his QO is 10m. His deal was signed before they changed the rule limiting the backloading.

The scary part to me is not the $10M salary for next season.
It is how big the deal would need to be in order for him to forego that $10M pay day for next season. |

Longevity is way more important to the avg athlete. These guys want 7-8 years incase they get injured
