Trump has easily been the worst president of all time and he basically opened a can of worms of division in this country that would have happened eventually. Everything that's going wrong systematically with our country has been bubbling for a long time. He just sped up the process. I just don't know if it would have erupted as badly it did under another President (Republican or Democrat). I don't care who is president right now, it could Biden, Cruz, DeSantis, Newsome, etc... the mess will take more than one term to fix.

I saw that Andrew Yang along with other moderate Democrats and Republicans are working on starting a third party which would be great, but third parties never seem to take flight.

Biden has definitely been worse than Trump lol

I am curious to see what happens with Yang's forward party. I really liked what he had to say, even if his ideas were a little early on the automation stuff.

We're going to have to agree to disagree on this one lol. Honestly, I regret even replying haha, but I'm a fan of Yang.

I liked Yang a lot when he was on Rogan, Shapiro, and Saagar/Krystal's show, but I felt when he was on the democratic campaign trail there was too much grifting on hot button topics just to get the vote (partially because he was so behind on the polls, I assume).

That's the problem with our system really IMO. The "hot topics" are usually bullpoop topics that distract everyone from the real meat and potatoes of policy. If everyone just focused on actual policy ideas, people would all vote so differently. Especially if they had no idea who thought it up.

I really want to do a study where I compile bill proposals from Republicans and Democrats. Explain them to people without knowing who came up with it and gauge how they feel about them.

They need to limit bills to under 100 pages each and have no formal bill names. Too much garbage thrown into these bills that no one reads. Whatever party is in charge adds a cute name to it. I remember when the Patriot Act was created. It was a crazy bill that took power way beyond what it should've, but if you voted against it... you must not be a patriot then.

They should name the next one the Anti-kicking Puppies Bill. Anyone who disagrees with it clearly likes kicking puppies.

Greene will absolutely vote against it.

I'm not one of these people who push false equivalencies. I hate when people resort to "Oh both sides are bad." Sometimes one side is doing stuff far worse than the other, but when it comes to what you're talking about, both sides pull this crap. They do it to sneak other agendas in those bills and that drives me nuts.

I've seen people do that on YouTube with old Obama policies and Trump policies and it's really interesting to hear the people's reactions.

At least Trump was entertaining...I thought he was fvcking hilarious. I think, when it comes to economy performance and what not, which admittedly I dont have a f'n clue where USA stands as compared to last year or in the middle of the Trump presidency, there's some things that have happened globally the past 3 or 4 years, that really skew the sh!t out of such calculations and measurements. I know that's the case when I look at figures and numbers from my own country, yet, opposition will try and blame it all on current leader...who by the way, for the record, I think is a f'n clown and hope doesnt return the next time there's an election, or sooner.

Im a centrist and I will not allow politicians (and their medias) to manipulate me into disliking other people in my own county, or other parts of the world, for their own party and political gain, because of how they vote....it seems an awful lot of people gobble that kind sh!t right up though.

Love how that word gets tossed around so easily hahaha...a right wing buzz word....no matter though, the freezing of accounts should never of happened even if it was for less than a week and only for those making millions off that protest...a protest that consisted of less than 1% of the actual truck drivers in Canada haha

I was very torn when I saw that. I don't know enough about the comic books to know how big of a role Harley Quinn played in the comics and I wonder if they'd even think to do this if they hadn't released Suicide Squad. She's a much better actress than I thought she would be, so I think it comes down to how they write her character because I could see her being over the top.

What about you? Did you also read that at one point they considered making Joke 2 a musical? lol

Well gas prices are over $4.30 a gallon.
Inflation is 9.1% and we are now in a recession.
So, I'd say NOT that great!

This would make sense if she's going to be Harley...and also Joaquin is a musician on the side himself, isnt he? Pretty sure he did all the singing in Walk the Line.

EDIT: is it confirmed that it wont be a musical now?

I didn’t hear either way after it was announced, but I (frank)in hate musicals and I’m a musician lol.

He didn’t do all the singing in Walk the Line, but he did do some of it. I loooove that movie.

This is why I think if people turned off the noise on the news driving their anger/fear towards a party or politician they’d all vote so differently.

It will never happen, but I’d prefer no parties. If politicians didn’t have to give in to party agendas we’d see much better and unique ideas.

hahah yeah they're (musicals) too happy, positive and cheesy for me, usually, and the characters and subject matter of the Joker, especially when considering the tone of the first film, doesnt really jive with them haha

I crossed the border into Michigan for 8 hours. I had to go fill out an Arrive Can with all kinds of BS about isolation plans, and then almost immediately after returning home I was receiving emails and cell phone messages that I was being forced to self isolate for 14 days. I was expected to provide DAILY updates on my health for 14 days or face a $5000 fine. I was also told that if I left my house, even to go for a walk in the neighborhood, I would be fined. Did I mention that they also said they have inspectors that could show up at my house to confirm I was abiding by my incarceration (er isolation).

I didnt have Covid (I'm also vaccinated) and I crossed the border for a number of hours. Its actually quite shocking. The trucker convoy stuff is nothing.

I honestly don't understand what is going on in Canada anymore. Our local hospital (Windsor) has 20+ hour wait times in the ER, and its almost impossible to get proper medical help. It takes months to get a passport and the government payroll just continues to bloat while services go to poop. Think gas is bad in the US... I can't remember the last time gas was under $5 US per gallon.

It has become so bad that my wife (who has never had any desire to leave this area) wants me to start looking into relocating us to the US with my company. While we are not "anti vax" the red line will be vaccine mandates for our kids under 5.

When did that happen to you with the 14 days and what not?

Vaccine mandates for kids under 5? I haven't heard anything along the lines of that in month and months. Vaccines arnt even being talked about anymore. Are you really afraid of that?

Harley Quinn was actually made for the cartoon Batman: The Animated Series, not the comics, she became such a big hit in the cartoon that they started adding her to the comics.

I really hope it doesn't become a musical. That would be odd.

I'm fine with them being different films (Suicide Squad vs. Joker), that SS universe is too over the top for Margot Robbie to work in the Joker even if she absolutely kills it as Harley.

And I really hope the guy at the end of the Batman gets to play his version of the Joker, he was gnarly af.

Ah ok, then yeah, I kind of wish they didn't put Harley Quinn in it, but I can see Gaga playing it pretty dark.

That dude is totally going to get to play Joker. He's too big of an actor for them to just use him for five minutes and no plans for another movie.
